"We don't have nearly as many back home as there seem to be here, either. Just Batman, Batgirl, Robin, and Nightwing. So there's none of them still left by your time?"

He's curious! It's not that he thought that everyone would keep going forever, but it's also hard to imagine a Gotham without at least one Bat.

She nods, a little surprised. "That's exactly what my Gotham had back in the day! Maybe we're from the same Gotham?" She'd really like that. She's felt lonely, even more of an outsider from the rest of the Gothamites.

"There's a new Batman now. He showed up over a year ago- before I showed up here. But before him, there was nobody for twenty years."

"We could be," he admits as he munches on another fry from the plate. "My world's being invaded by aliens right now. Have you ever heard of the Reach?"

She frowns, thinking, then shakes her head. "I don't think any of the alien invasions the League handled were called the Reach."

That does give her another idea, though. "Do you know how the JL was formed in your world? In mine it was to thwart the Martian- no, they weren't Martian, they'd already wiped out the Martians. Except J'onn."

“The Appellaxians? They’re the ones my Justice League fought when they got together.”

The fact that there’s no Reach invasion makes it questionable that they’re from the same world, but not impossible. It could just be (hopefully) that the Reach are such a blip on the radar that no one remembers them decades later.

She shakes her head again. "I think they were called the Imperium. Never heard of the Appellaxians. We're probably not from the same world." She sighs, a little disappointed. "Well, the good news is, I don't have bad news for you about how bad Gotham gets."
