Closed to Hunter
Who: Nico di Angelo and Hunter l
What: Accidental stumbling into a baddie monster type because these things happen
When: May 9th ish, late night
Where: Outskirts of Sunset Falls
Content Warnings: N/A
[ This was not the plan.
Nico has heard people say that before, yes, but usually when there was, in fact, a plan.
Taking shelter from the rain in a cave is hardly a plan. It’s light spelunking at best.
The hydra that is currently chasing after Nico has more of a plan than Nico had previously. It is simple and straightforward: a demigod snack and then go back to sleep.
Nico would prefer anything other than straightforward, but a full grown hydra is… big. Too big to rot to a skeleton, and getting bigger. Sharp eyes will note that this particular hydra is up twelve heads.
He needs to find fire. A hardware store or something. Something closed without people. No big deal - it’s late, and Sunset Falls is sleepy. With fire.
It shouldn’t be hard to find, now that he can see a proper street in the distance. Just - thirty yards?
The hydra snaps at Nico again, and he senses it rather than sees it coming, throwing himself sideways and rolling through the momentum to come up running again. The monster is even closer now - nipping at his heels is about to be more than a metaphor if Nico doesn’t find a solution besides lopping off heads and running. This close, all those nostrils sound like an entire white noise machine. ]

But there's twelve heads! Why is the House of Hades always given the fight marathons? Raise an undead army, Nico. Nico, Will's getting chased by half a dozen Romans. It's only 20 Germanii, Nico, gods.
