He sighs, because he knows that hurt, knows that spiral. As much as he's frustrated with David, he's frustrated with himself.

"It's not a weakness that it takes others to help heal. You're allowed to want community, David. You're allowed to want love. And I know being repeatedly denied it makes it feel like maybe we just weren't meant for it.
