No, but I got him to drink some water.

[Leo shrugs, scrolling through his phone.]

Food's on its way.

[purplexing]

[Donnie nods, stretching out his back some before he settles against the couch again to pull out his phone.]

I brought him coffee but he didn't want it.

...he tell you why he's taking a raincheck on today?

[faceguy]

He didn’t want coffee!?

[The situation is more dire than he thought.]

No, but I didn’t ask.

[purplexing]

[His hand looks about to cover Leo's mouth at that exclamation, and he casts a furtive glance towards Accelerator's room before he lets out a sigh. He could let the esper explain, but he decides to save him the effort.

Donnie looks at Leo, keeping his voice low.]

...it's the day of his injury.

[faceguy]

[Oh, right… That would explain some things.

Leo sighs, putting his phone down to rub at his eyes. Not that he really had any hope of getting Accelerator out of his current funk, but now that notion is totally gone.

He hates it for the guy. He knows what Accelerator did, but to get shot in the head when he put his own guard down… Leo gets why he’s depressed.

Doesn’t change Leo’s plan, though.]

Well, we’ll get some food in him. That may be about the best we can do right now.

[purplexing]

[Donnie nods. He's not really good at this thing so he's glad Leo's here to help on that end.

Even if leaving seems like what Accelerator'd prefer them to do, the idea doesn't sit well with him.]

[faceguy]

[Leo will just chill on the couch with Donnie until there’s a knock at the door, then he hops up to go grab it, knocking his hood back up as he goes. If the delivery person is at all concerned by the green tint of his skin they don’t say so.

Soon enough Leo is back with the pho and sports drinks, some of which he passes off to Donnie.]

Alright, let’s see what we can do here.

[purplexing]

[Slipping off the couch at the promise of food, Donnie takes whatever Leo hands him, moving to set them on the table. He's pretty sure he'd accidentally skipped lunch and has no idea how long he'd been napping, so he's glad Leo had thought to order food for all of them.]

Well, best we can do is try, right?

[faceguy]

[Someone has to be practical around here! (How did that end up being Leo, though…)

He nods at Donnie, then heads for Accelerator’s room and knocks on the doorframe.]

Food’s here. Come try to eat, alright?

[He’ll carry him! Don’t think he won’t!]

[levelshift]

[To the surprise of no one, Accelerator has not budged an inch, and he doesn't even when Leo reappears in the door.]

Eat without me.

[Sorry bud you're the oldest here which makes you the designated older brother.]

[purplexing]

[That is something Donnie will only acknowledge when it works in his favor. But it's not like he purposely shirks such responsibilities, they just happen to slip his mind because he gets too caught up in other things.

He watches anxiously from where he's sat back on the couch after folding the blanket up. Accelerator's response is barely audible from there, but Donnie doesn't have to guess too hard to figure that even food isn't going to draw this kid out.]

[faceguy]

[…Yeah, okay.]

Nope. You gotta eat something. It’ll help.

[So saying, he’ll come over and scoop Accelerator up, sheets and all. He’ll use them as a cocoon, like Accelerator is an unruly cat.]

[levelshift]

[He's a fool for not expecting this, but he's still kind of used to people being terrified of him, and Last Order being too small to pull off something like this.

Anyways, he's scooped up and after his brain is finished blue screening at what the hell Leo is doing, Accelerator growls out a whole string of curses as he flails and tries to shove Leo away. Much like an unruly cat.]

What the fuck, Hamato?! Fuck off!!!

[purplexing]

[Having set out all the containers and drinks, Donnie sits and waits. And then hears the exclamation from the room, tensing.

Oh boy.]

[faceguy]

[Oh boy!

Leo is careful not to bang him against the doorframe, but not careful about much else. He carries Accelerator into the room, completely ignoring Accelerator’s protests.]

Oh, you got everything set out. Thanks!

[So saying he will plop Accelerator into a chair and wiggle the blankets down just enough to free his arms.]

There we go!

[levelshift]

[Thankfully, though Accelerator considers using his powers, he ultimately decides against it. It'd kind of be overkill, and he doesn't actually want to hurt either of them. Unfortunately for him, that means his scrawny ass is left with little options aside from the very pathetic flailing and one absolutely murderous deathglare when he's dropped into the chair.

These assholes. These fucking assholes.]

I'm going to kill both of you. I'm going to smash your skulls in and leave you as blood smears on the floor.

[He isn't.]

[purplexing]

[Donnie manages to smother a grin even though Accelerator looks slightly silly all burrito'd up. He starts opening containers to start adding things into the broth while it's still hot.]

Let me know if you need it warmed up any.

[Pointedly ignoring those threats because he knows that'd take Effort and then it'd be even more work for Accelerator because he'd have to clean up after himself or burn the building down, which would also take Effort.

His logic is flawless.]

I got beef and veggies, hope everyone’s good with that.

[He’s also ignoring those threats because he knows they’re completely empty. It’s never really occurred to Leo that he should be scared of Accelerator and it definitely isn’t now.]

And some Gatorade; it’ll be easier on your stomach if you’re dehydrated.

[So saying he’ll crack one open and plunk it down in front of Accy.]

[levelshift]

[The glaring continues, regardless of how ineffective it is. God, why does his life have to be so difficult? Slumping back into the chair (doing anything else would indeed take effort, so he's giving up already), he mutters to himself.]

Why do I only hang out with people who don't fucking listen??

[Give him a minute to sulk over this before he reaches for the Gatorade and speaks up.]

You two must have better shit to do than hang around here.

[purplexing]

Because they'd all have listened and left you alone.

[Donnie pokes at his food as it stews, then reaches for one of the other bottles.]

[faceguy]

[Leo nods in agreement at Donnie’s assessment, going about getting his own food ready.]

You weeded out the weak. Only the strong are left.

[Or, you know, the stubborn.]

[levelshift]

... Tche.

[Stubborn. Definitely stubborn. Accelerator scowls as he takes a sip of the gatorade.]

[purplexing]

[Donnie lifts a fist Leo's way even as he takes a few gulps of his own drink.

Sorry Accy, you're stuck with them.]

[He returns the fist bump, grinning into his food.
