Little Love
Little Love is easy to come back to. The creatures from the previous, repetitive September 1sts are... nostalgic. Some of her earliest days with the X-Men had involved jaunts to the Savage Land, and this was very reminiscent of that.
While Ororo isn't exactly interested in bounties, she can't turn down help when it is asked. So she finds herself in the air, safe distances away from the bigger beasts and scooping them up into precisely-fashioned cyclones, spinning just fast enough to contain and disorient them. Easily done, considering how many times she'd had to do this to the same, or similar beasts before.
She looks to the nearest person assisting her with the job. "Where is the nearest holding station?"
Exelsior
Ororo is drawn to Exelsior, mostly because it seems that most of the younger mutants from her world are here. She makes her rounds, takes peeks at the homes they've made, makes sure they're eating things that aren't junkfood, and then explores the rest of the city.
Gabby and Julian had managed to create a little park for the friendlier beasts they rounded up at Little Love, so she comes to visit them on a weekend. Honestly, she can't believe they've really done this, and spends more time than she ought to just going around what they've managed to do. By the afternoon she'd flown with a perfectly docile pterodactyl and then had a sleeping sabretooth puma in her lap.
Of course, there's also the matter of the recurring power outages. While she's there, she offers what help she can - being a literal light in the darkness, kickstarting generators whenever they're needed, keeping freezers cold with sheets of ice and snow.
Then the total blackout happens, and she's flying off to the power grid to investigate. There must be something she can do. She's hard to miss - hair and body glowing with crackling lighting as she streaks across the sky.

Little Love
Her lasso has flashed like lightning amongst the swirling clouds of Ororo's tornados, calming and controlling the animals in equal measure. Now, Diana loops it at her hip, floating gently in the air near the other woman. She considers the trumpeting megafauna with mild interest. "There's a sort of park forming for the creatures."
no subject
"The Jurassic park? A girl I know from home wants to maintain one, yes." It's a bit tricky to carry a conversation like this, but Diana can probably still hear her. Maybe?
"I am not certain how she plans to do it, to be honest. These animals aren't exactly easy to tame."
no subject
The winds whip at her hair and at Ororo's, black and white locks flickering in the air as she looks over at the other woman. "I'm happy for you, that you've found someone you know, here. It must be a comfort."
no subject
"It helps to have someone familiar nearby, yes. I never like being alone in an unfamiliar dimension." It's happened once or twice - but an overwhelming majority of the time, she's pulled into this sort of thing with another mutant or two. Sometimes they were allies, sometimes they were... something else.
"Have you experienced this sort of thing before yourself, Diana?" She seems to be taking all this in stride - rounding up megafauna, talking of timeloops, catching thieves and robbers in the night.

She pauses, floating in the air to look out over the wide, sun-soaked fields of Little Love. It's so like Kal's hometown that she feels a pang of wistfulness. "But I have a few familiar faces here, too. You're right, it helps."
The look she turns on Ororo is wry. "Unfamiliar dimensions, then?"
no subject
"But while this is not my first time, I usually have more familiar company with me. I have not fought with those who are from my world here all that often." Which has her feeling oddly lonely. Carol was, of course, a friend... but one she saw very rarely. The other mutants here were very young. She missed her family.
no subject
It gives her a few moments of contemplation, before she looks back to Ororo. "Yes. I know the feeling."
She knows Kyle from the League and has worked with him before, but the Bruce here has no shared experience with her and, to be honest, she hasn't worked much with Nightwing or the Robins on their own. "I wish more of my friends and teammates were here."
no subject
"Perhaps we can keep each other company, then. I know I've enjoyed working with you when we happen upon each other like this." Something she means sincerely, and she hopes that comes across. Ororo considers herself a good judge of character, mostly, and feels a sort of kinship with Diana already. Something she feels is worth exploring even outside handling criminals in the dark, or rounding up restless wild beasts like this.
no subject
Of course it's nice to have at least a version of her friend here, but few of those from her world, Green Lantern aside, have powers much like hers. They simply don't have much in common, aside from their shared missions of peace and protection.
But Ororo is a different matter entirely. Diana can feel the electricity buzzing off her skin. She has been friendly and helpful, but there's no mistaking it: this woman is a formidable ally. "I've enjoyed our meetings. I find many things about you... almost familiar. Do you know what I mean?"
no subject
Their task wrapped up and bounties somewhat awkwardly collected when the local farmers insist on it, Ororo nods for Diana to keep her company on a fairly empty stretch of land. It's quiet and peaceful, and a good place to talk in relative privacy. "Do you have a particular place to stay? Or any immediate plans?"
There was so much going on in various cities. It's tempting to throw themselves right into work, but with the repeating September 1sts, Ororo was seeing the merit in taking things slowly.
no subject
The place where they set down is a small, shady hill, overlooking the rolling plains, and Diana takes a seat in the fragrant grass, plucking at a few blades as she considers. "I've been staying at the hotel, but there is a... version... of a friend from home here who is living by himself. Perhaps I'll see if he has some extra room."
Room there is, aplenty, but whether Bruce wants anyone else there is another question entirely. She runs her fingers over the grass, thoughtful, then looks over at Ororo. "As for plans... I assume you've had the same dreams, haven't you? This friend; I'm planning to go with him back into the past."
no subject
That did bother her. She supposes she should find... something to do around here. It's been a long time since she's had no home at all, or no close friends to rely on.
The mention of dreams has her frowning deeply, though, and sitting up straight. "Time travel is... always complicated." She sighs, shaking her head. "Actions ripple, and can have unimaginable effects. I don't know enough of this world or its history to really know if that is... wise." Unless they had no other choice, of course.
"Do you have plans, for when you go? There is someone who will open a portal to the past, yes?"
no subject
They all need to be able to help each other, here. That's the clearest lesson she's taken from the continual loop of September 1sts... and now this. A trip back into time, with a team who has hardly communicated. And yet she can't abandon Bruce, Dick, or Roy. "It is," she agrees. "But if we do nothing, Chaos Gate may destroy this whole reality in her grief and rage."
Would they all still be here? Who knows? "The only plan we have so far is simple: find Chaos Gate, try to calm her. Fight if we must."
no subject
But the fact remains that the greatest threat appeared to be not in the present, but in the past. So she turns to Diana, face serious. "I must regroup with others here in the present day. But if there is a way to keep the portal open, I will follow and bring others who can help contain Chaos Gate."
At the very least, she knew that Carol's abilities would be a huge boon for whatever conflict they'd encounter with her.
no subject
She shifts to sit on her hip, leaning on one hand so she can turn more fully towards Ororo. "I hope you find more of your friends, Ororo. Not just to bring back, if such a thing is even possible. And if I can return, I hope to one day be counted among those friends."
no subject
"I believe you will return. Something tells me you are not the type to lose very easily." She had a strength to her - not just in body, but in spirit as well. Something inspirational. If she had a plan - Ororo had no doubt that she would see it done. "So when you return... you and I can help each other make sense of this place together. Yes?"
no subject
Or at all, when she can manage it. "In the meantime, what will you do? Find your other friends, bring other animals to the park?"
no subject
"I'm not sure yet," she admits, tucking her knees in close to her body. "Perhaps I might fly to my homeland - or the equivalent of it - to see what is the same there, if they need help, and if they will accept my help if recognize me at all."
