Little Love
Little Love is easy to come back to. The creatures from the previous, repetitive September 1sts are... nostalgic. Some of her earliest days with the X-Men had involved jaunts to the Savage Land, and this was very reminiscent of that.
While Ororo isn't exactly interested in bounties, she can't turn down help when it is asked. So she finds herself in the air, safe distances away from the bigger beasts and scooping them up into precisely-fashioned cyclones, spinning just fast enough to contain and disorient them. Easily done, considering how many times she'd had to do this to the same, or similar beasts before.
She looks to the nearest person assisting her with the job. "Where is the nearest holding station?"
Exelsior
Ororo is drawn to Exelsior, mostly because it seems that most of the younger mutants from her world are here. She makes her rounds, takes peeks at the homes they've made, makes sure they're eating things that aren't junkfood, and then explores the rest of the city.
Gabby and Julian had managed to create a little park for the friendlier beasts they rounded up at Little Love, so she comes to visit them on a weekend. Honestly, she can't believe they've really done this, and spends more time than she ought to just going around what they've managed to do. By the afternoon she'd flown with a perfectly docile pterodactyl and then had a sleeping sabretooth puma in her lap.
Of course, there's also the matter of the recurring power outages. While she's there, she offers what help she can - being a literal light in the darkness, kickstarting generators whenever they're needed, keeping freezers cold with sheets of ice and snow.
Then the total blackout happens, and she's flying off to the power grid to investigate. There must be something she can do. She's hard to miss - hair and body glowing with crackling lighting as she streaks across the sky.

Bart turns at the warning, and a quick signal sends a couple dupes blurring out to either side to check for flankers. "You want left or right?"
this is because I read dog-sized horses as horse-sized dogs somehow
And as long as the wind stretches out ahead of her, she lets it carry her voice to him as it arcs around. "Where did you find out they were tropically inclined?"
And would it help if she used that knowledge to her advantage? The air she generates drops in temperature. Nothing that freezes, yet, but it's certainly on its way there.
Sadly, even dire wolves didn't get THAT big
"I read a lot, and I remember everything. Scientists love extrapolating about past climates, especially with the damage we've done to ours."
polarbear dogs do though!!
frigid winds would do more harm than good, though, so she works her own vortices meticulously. She floats in place as she catches hers, stretching the cyclone into something long and cylindrical across the plain and towards a holding pen.
Her bounty drops with a bit more force than she intends, because she looks over to him in pleasant surprise. "While I'm sure you never thought you'd need that knowledge while capturing prehistoric animals - is that something you are interested in? Climate, and how it has changed over time?"
Even if it's not, it's still rare to hear someone acknowledge it at all. Her attention shifts to him more fully.

"It's...interesting. And the physics of weather is just plain mind-boggling. Besides, you never know exactly what kind of knowledge might come in handy when it comes to superpowered disasters," Bart said, trying not to sound completely noncommittal on the subject. "I mostly read because I have a lot of time on my hands if there's no speed limits involved."
no subject
"Knowledge of it comes in handy for natural disasters as well." She tries to help gentle those, whenever she has the time for it.
"Although, if your superspeed is your gift-- your kind do always seem to need something new to learn or do. You must know a little of almost everything?"
no subject
"It's never as easy as all that. I may know a lot, but that means I have to think about specific things very carefully to bring out the right memories. Like if it's not something I use a lot, I may have to mentally reread the entire book to find one little detail."
no subject
"But mentally re-reading must come easy to you as well? Quickly, that is, given your powers..." She assumed his quickness carried over to his thought processes, too.
"Ah. But forgive my questioning; I've known others with powers similiar to yours, but we had never sat down to speak of it so candidly." She smiles a little, apologetically. "And for asking all that without even introducing myself. My name is Ororo."
