Little Love
Little Love is easy to come back to. The creatures from the previous, repetitive September 1sts are... nostalgic. Some of her earliest days with the X-Men had involved jaunts to the Savage Land, and this was very reminiscent of that.
While Ororo isn't exactly interested in bounties, she can't turn down help when it is asked. So she finds herself in the air, safe distances away from the bigger beasts and scooping them up into precisely-fashioned cyclones, spinning just fast enough to contain and disorient them. Easily done, considering how many times she'd had to do this to the same, or similar beasts before.
She looks to the nearest person assisting her with the job. "Where is the nearest holding station?"
Exelsior
Ororo is drawn to Exelsior, mostly because it seems that most of the younger mutants from her world are here. She makes her rounds, takes peeks at the homes they've made, makes sure they're eating things that aren't junkfood, and then explores the rest of the city.
Gabby and Julian had managed to create a little park for the friendlier beasts they rounded up at Little Love, so she comes to visit them on a weekend. Honestly, she can't believe they've really done this, and spends more time than she ought to just going around what they've managed to do. By the afternoon she'd flown with a perfectly docile pterodactyl and then had a sleeping sabretooth puma in her lap.
Of course, there's also the matter of the recurring power outages. While she's there, she offers what help she can - being a literal light in the darkness, kickstarting generators whenever they're needed, keeping freezers cold with sheets of ice and snow.
Then the total blackout happens, and she's flying off to the power grid to investigate. There must be something she can do. She's hard to miss - hair and body glowing with crackling lighting as she streaks across the sky.

But - that would be lovely, yes. I'm glad to hear you have a home - I have heard that can be difficult to do, if you are new or if you have not signed with one of those groups. [ The guilds. Ororo was resistant to the idea, would always feel apprehensive of anyone trying to monitor people for having powers. The context was different here, yes, but parts of it were uncomfortably familiar. ]
Where do you stay? Is there something like the Tower here, and I have just not heard of it?

[She doesn't say that it makes her think too much of choosing sides, of destroying things again like back during the Avengers Civil War -- two different times even. She's pretty sure that Ororo knows about that mess anyways and figures why she'd be avoiding it.
She thinks about leading her on a walk when she remembers they could both just fly instead.]
We do. It's private for Tony Stark is concerned about privacy reasons, but you wanna go on a flight, I'd be happy to take you there.

Hmm. He would not mind, would he? It has been a long time since I've stayed at the Avengers headquarters. [ Yes, she'd been close to Carol, but it's a little different to do so with Tony in such close proximity. ]
And we can fly, but I'm of the impression we must have a low profile? But if that doesn't matter, I'd be happy to take the wind currents there.

[ She motions towards the direction they'd be leaving the park and starts walking because she supposes if Storm wants to follow the rules she's not sure that she can argue with that.]
Besides, I asked Tony and he said it was fine, the staying thing I mean.

"Good girls"... I am just being cautious, Carol. This world is unfamiliar.
Tony knows already? [ And he was fine with the arrangement? That's a little of a surprise, but gratifying to hear. ]
I must say, I'm a little bit at a loss, here. You'll have to let me know how I can repay you two for this.

[ It seems she's picked up a few manners over the years as they head out.]
I should warn you though, I share a floor with some people who are apparently Avengers from another world. I've so far not actually run into them though.
no subject
Dare I ask which ones?
A few mutants are around as well. They are former students of the Institute, but none of the X-Men. [ A pause. ] Or so I'm told. There is a version of Wolverine about, but I have yet to make contact. [ And all she knows is that he is... older. Which concerns her, a little. The last time she'd seen an older Logan... it was not an easy time. ]

I messaged with David once, but he's the only Mutant I've met. I suppose it's too much to hope that by Wolverine you mean Laura? [She likes Logan just fine, but Laura had been pretty great on their last mission it was hard to avoid not looking forward to the idea of her.]
no subject
But - odd how things work out, hmm? A young Captain Rogers, an older Wolverine. I'm glad I have you as I know you. [ She gives Carol a steady look. ] Or I believe I do, anyway.
no subject
I think it's me, at least for as much as I can tell... [It's a grin as they wander through the city, luckily the tower isn't far from the park.]
I was hoping for more people I might know, so it's refreshing to have you here, Ororo. Even if I'm still not entirely sure what here involves.

I don't sense a great conflict or power to face here yet, exactly. Unless that business with the minor time travel counts.
But maybe something that needs our power will reveal itself in time? I'm sure you'd appreciate that, instead of simply... hanging about Tony Stark's apartments.

Exactly! The last time this happened I just had to help save Illyana from being controlled and tied up by Namor and Enchantress's son! My other future self had already launched myself to become their sun, so once the kid was defeated they were able to repopulate! [Yeah, knowing her future self might explode into the sun to save her friends was still a lot and she was trying to avoid thinking about too many of the kids in that world.]
When I first got here there was this big battle of one of the alliances trying to stop metahumans from existing... I thought maybe when that was settled I'd end up home but, nope. Still here. [She throws her hands up in a frustrated shrug at the idea.]
no subject
Well, maybe you are still here because you were waiting for me. [ A gentle tease and a small grin. ] And now that I am here, I can help with... whatever will come next. And I am sure something will come up - because something always seems to come up.
no subject
I was feeling a little too powerful you know, need someone else with big powers to come and put me in my place.
[She playfully nudges her arm against Ororo's as they walk. There's not a lot of people on her power level even back home, and less here that she's met. It's a fun change.]
We will be prepared for whatever comes up. What's the last big thing you dealt with?
just wanted to answer, but we can fade to black if this is too old!
Some contingent of ill-mannered guests tried to kill the young Empress Xandra when she visited us on Arakko. [ Politics and assassination were just... always intertwined, really. No matter what world they were on. ]
Beyond that, we are just trying to get the Arakki settled into their new home on Mars. I've been putting out fires or dueling a new upstart challenging me for the title of regent every single day...
