[ Her tone is very nearly conversational, as she shifts, coming a little closer. ]

Should I throw you through the window? Impress on you the importance of respecting the gods?

Or I could stop your mouth a pleasanter way, with a kiss. Which would you prefer?

( her forwardness, while not at all a turn-off, catches him a little off guard and it shows in the way he's seemingly left a little speechless for a moment. )

Might have to pay a hefty bill for the window with the former...

[ There's some shift in him, in his expression, and her eyebrows flicker into a brief frown. She relaxes her arm and steps in closer... to place a chaste kiss on his cheek. ]

Make up your mind, Bruce.

[ Said, gently, before she lets go of his shirt and steps back. ]

Consider it a personal request.

( the kiss to his cheek, sweet as it is, also leaves him speechless. despite that, there's a familiar softness there within his eyes along with the uncertainty so prevalent there, and he stares to her as she steps back.

already his mind goes into a sort of bruce overdrive and he drops his gaze, licks over his lips, and clears his throat a moment later. )

I, uh... need to get those supplies.

( reaching over for that wallet again, he stuffs it in his back pocket and looks to her. just for a moment. )

I won't be long.
