[There may be some changes to the timeline now but Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is still open for business. There are always people looking to have a good time drinking and blowing off some steam with a good song. It doesn’t matter if they’re ordinary civilians or some of Central City’s more... colorful characters. Just be nice to the bouncers and check your weapons by the entrance first.

To reflect the fall season, Descendant has included seasonal drinks like pumpkin beer, apple cocktails, and spiced maple bourbon.

Meanwhile, some of this month's most popular songs seem to be reflecting Halloween, such as Highway to Hell and Monsters. Or maybe you want to do a more classy number like Witchcraft? Descendant looks like a speakeasy after all. And in a total coincidence, Time Warp has also shown up on the popularity chart.

If you drop by at Descendant on a Coyote Ugly Night, you’ll find the atmosphere considerably wilder and wetter. You might’ve even already seen some of the social media posts and videos of the employees performing. They certainly look like they’re having a good time.

Perhaps you’re coming in during a more normal time. Come by for a drink. Maybe rent a private karaoke room or karaoke on stage in front of others if you’re feeling brave. There are some bar games around too.

You can always just people watch as well. Those who are especially observant might notice that some of Descendant’s customers are a bit... furtive as they keep their heads low or quickly scurry to one of the private rooms.

There’s always the reading room too for those who want a more quiet ambiance.

And then there's the very select few who are allowed upstairs in the attic apartment.

Whatever the case may be, Jason will be around. As Descendant’s owner, he’s a busy guy with plenty he has to do]

It was a game of poker face he was most certainly destined to lose, but hearing a familiar voice behind him certainly does the trick of putting him at ease. Donnie beams, turning his head towards her.

"Diana! Hey!" That battle had been a weird one and at times hard to keep track of just who or what you were fighting, much less your own mind, so he's glad that she hadn't been some strange hallucination. "Good to see you too!"

She's wearing civilian clothes tonight, not the red and star-spangled blue costume from the battle, but the tiara she'd used as a weapon is in her hair and the lasso glows gently at her hip as she comes to walk him into the bar itself. "I'm glad to see you made it out relatively unscathed. How are you?"

His smile goes a little tight at that, but he nods. Definitely not a situation he'd like to repeat.

"Good. Better, even, now that I'm not stuck somewhere without internet." Donnie shudders a little at that thought. "Never again."

She can't help laughing at that, just a little. "You'd have hated my home," she tells him. "No internet at all."

Once inside the bar proper, she pauses, hands on her hips as she considers him. "So, Donnie. What brings you here tonight? If you're waiting on a friend, I'd be more than happy to keep you company until they arrive."

"But whyyy," the turtle almost wails, finding it difficult to believe that anyone would ever willingly choose to live somewhere without such a vital resource.

He openly looks around once they're inside, not sure what he'd been expecting, but he can't say he's disappointed either. It certainly looks...bar-ish.

"Huh? Oh! Um. Well...not exactly waiting on anyone, really. A guy I know says he owns the place so I thought I'd check it out."

"You would probably consider Themyscira hopelessly backwards," she says, amused. "But we all knew each other already, and could communicate simply by speaking to one another. The answers we needed came from the gods, the stars, our libraries, our wise women. So we managed all right."

There's a brief moment of surprise as she looks at him. "You know Jason?"

He looks briefly uncomfortable about the casual inclusion of yet more gods. "Is talking with gods a trend? It seems like they just hang around a lot more than one would figure gods would. ...although I can get behind finding answers in libraries- that is my favorite off-line source."

The surprised look has Donnie arch a brow then. "Is...that weird?"

"I hope not," she says, sincerely.

It's nice that Jason has friends outside of his family. "And no... not exactly. The gods have been present in my life to an... unusual extent."

That's an interesting answer, but Donnie shrugs. "We were staying at his place for a while, back when things were tense regarding the Starfallen. Well...tenseer." Seems there's always going to be some tension when metas are involved, but the atmosphere's still lightened considerably.

He's not sure what to think about Diana's relationship with gods. "I've only personally met one here- or at least he says he's one? Kind of annoying sometimes though."

"Yes, I've heard a little about that."

She wishes it were an unfamiliar sentiment, but after the Amazons waged war on Man's World, after Maxwell Lord and Brother Eye... she knows better. "Oh? Which one?"

Eros, perhaps? She can imagine there are those who would find the god 'kind of annoying.'

"It was pretty bad. One of our friends got attacked- the Shining God's cultists had this armor that would nullify meta-abilities and were coming after people that were openly against them. We broke him out of jail but figured it was better we didn't go back to the apartment we'd been staying at."

Donnie looks around at the seating arrangement for the bar. It's a lot cozier than the sports lounge he's walked through. He glances back at Diana. Should they sit somewhere?

"Oh, this guy named Loki. I think he's the mayor of Sunset Falls."

She catches the question in his glance and tips her head towards a comfortable booth where they can sit and order some food. Man's World, she knows, has rules about young folk indulging in wine or other drink, but Descendant doesn't only offer liquor. "Loki," she muses, as she walks with him toward the booth and takes a seat.

"I haven't met him." Here, yet. And the chance that he's the Loki from her own world's pantheon seems slim at best. "I'm sorry to hear about your friend, and glad you found shelter with Jason. He's a good friend to have."

Food! Donnie won't turn that down. Sit-down places are still very strange for him when everyone else is visibly human, but he'll happily follow Diana over to a booth to settle into.

"I'm sure you'll know him if and when you do," he shrugs. Loki didn't seem particularly secretive about who he is.

"He's pretty cool, him and Dylan." Everything else may have been awful but at least they've found more people they can trust around here through it.

"Um...so everything good with you? Have you been here long? Sounds like maybe not as far back as when the Shining God's cult was trying to take over the Alliance."

"Most things have been fine with me," she assures him, as she slides into one of the booth seats. "And no, not long. I arrived during the repetition of September 1sts, so I wasn't here long before we went back. Although, I think I met a..."

She pauses, considering. "Friend of yours? Another turtle?"

Donnie slips into the space across from her, taking a moment to appreciate the coziness.

"Repetiti-oh. Gotcha. That...was pretty weird, even for here."

He blinks then before brightening. "Blue mask, red eye bananas? Unless there are other mutant turtles about that I've been unaware of, most likely you mean my brother Leo."
