[There may be some changes to the timeline now but Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is still open for business. There are always people looking to have a good time drinking and blowing off some steam with a good song. It doesn’t matter if they’re ordinary civilians or some of Central City’s more... colorful characters. Just be nice to the bouncers and check your weapons by the entrance first.

To reflect the fall season, Descendant has included seasonal drinks like pumpkin beer, apple cocktails, and spiced maple bourbon.

Meanwhile, some of this month's most popular songs seem to be reflecting Halloween, such as Highway to Hell and Monsters. Or maybe you want to do a more classy number like Witchcraft? Descendant looks like a speakeasy after all. And in a total coincidence, Time Warp has also shown up on the popularity chart.

If you drop by at Descendant on a Coyote Ugly Night, you’ll find the atmosphere considerably wilder and wetter. You might’ve even already seen some of the social media posts and videos of the employees performing. They certainly look like they’re having a good time.

Perhaps you’re coming in during a more normal time. Come by for a drink. Maybe rent a private karaoke room or karaoke on stage in front of others if you’re feeling brave. There are some bar games around too.

You can always just people watch as well. Those who are especially observant might notice that some of Descendant’s customers are a bit... furtive as they keep their heads low or quickly scurry to one of the private rooms.

There’s always the reading room too for those who want a more quiet ambiance.

And then there's the very select few who are allowed upstairs in the attic apartment.

Whatever the case may be, Jason will be around. As Descendant’s owner, he’s a busy guy with plenty he has to do]

"So like shit then," Jason counters, knowing full well how a Tim Drake would sleep. "And the nightmares?"

Flatly: "I don't get nightmares."

Jason doesn't believe Tim at all but he recognizes that he's already testing the kid's boundaries. It's unlikely Tim will open up very quickly and Jason's reluctant to cause another messy conflict with him.

Jason calmly walks over to a heavy bag.

"Still got enough in you to work on your hits next?" he asks.

"I guess."

What he really wants is to get out of this conversation so he can go back to being Fine and ignoring the fact that there's kind of an alternate universe out there where he was almost destroyed by the Joker. But he doesn't always get what he wants.

"Do you want to spar?"

[robintohood]

"Sure," Jason replies with a small smirk. A spar would be better than a heavy bag and Tim was the one who asked so maybe this was progress.

He takes off his sweatshirt and reveals the tank top underneath as he walks cover to Tim.

Tim has another long sip of his water before setting it down and casually starting to size up Jason. They haven't really sparred much before, but they have similar backgrounds. Jason's just bigger, and he's been doing this longer.

"No weapons?"

[robintohood]

"No weapons," Jason replies. "Just show me what you can do."

He was more interested in giving Tim an opportunity to have his emotions go outward and inward. Blow off steam even just once in a while could be good for someone.

It's always good to keep in practice with no weapons, anyway. You can't always rely on having something convenient at hand if you're in a fight.

Theoretically, his basic advantage against larger opponents is being quicker, more agile. He can't necessarily count on that being the case always, though. For now, he starts with a few simple hits, effectively warming up and getting a sense of how Jason's going to approach this session.

Jason alternates between blocking and dodging first Tim's hits until he grabs a hold of Tim and tries to flip him to the mat.

Tim ducks and sweeps a leg at Jason, trying to throw him off-balance and dislodge his hold on him, or at least knock them both over.

As Jason is keeping a firm grip on Tim, they’re both knocked over. He then let goes and jumps back up.

“Not bad. Done already?” He taunts.

"Are you?" he asks before jumping to his own feet and aiming an elbow at Jason's torso.

[robintohood]

Jason smirks as he dodges and retaliates with a punch aimed for Tim’s stomach.

“You’ll know when I am,” he says.

Tim doesn't fully avoid it, but he does make a move that turns it from a punch to a glancing blow before using Jason as a springboard to flip over him.

Jason recognizes the move Tim’s making because he’s used to do it too when he was Robin. While the teen is up in the air, Jason grabs his leg and yanks him to the mat.

It is a Robin move, and performing it on a Robin meant Tim had to expect a counter-move. Instead of landing on the ground, he uses momentum to slide under Jason instead and knock him down in turn.

Jason grunts when he hits the floor but then quickly uses his own legs and snatch and trip Tim.

“Not bad,” he says.

[overlyprecocious]

He grins back, staying down for a moment just to catch his breath. "Same to you."

Jason’s pleased with Tim’s effort so far as he sits up.

“You ever pulled that on the golden boy?” He asks.

[overlyprecocious]

"Yeah," Tim says as he sits up, too, taking the quiet break to snag his water bottle again. "He liked it, too."

[robintohood]

“Good. Keep up,” he says, grinning. “Another round?”

[overlyprecocious]

“Why not?” He asks, returning to the watchful waiting he’d started the first round with, only this time he seems to be waiting for Jason to throw the first punch. Metaphorically and/or literally.

As soon as Tim confirms, Jason charges forward and seemingly winding up to do a left hook on Tim. It’s not a serious fight and Jason’s more interested in having Tim burn off some energy and possibly some anxiety as well.

[overlyprecocious]

It might be a left hook, but Tim's suspicious, and while he prepares to dodge it, he's also ready to change tactics abruptly at the latest sign that Jason's feinting.

At the last moment, Jason switches to doing a roundhouse kick towards Tim and well aware there’s a chance Tim will counter it.
