It's Friday October 27th when this housewarming shindig happens at the townhouse in Central he's recently purchased for himself and with it being so close to Halloween, he decides to decorate it a little. Or maybe a lot. He's still trying to get the hang of this whole Bruce Wayne thing. Either way, the lower floor of the five-story townhouse is decorated for the spooky season and the one floor he'd prefer people to stick to since he's not the only one who lives here. There's food and refreshments available with something hopefully for everyone and if you're in the mood for something a little more spooky for a drink, there's this little guy lined up along one of the tables to be enjoyed, the flavor being a tart pomegranate with a touch of sweetness to it. Yes, it can also be alcoholic and yes, he has someone stationed there to ensure those of age to drink are the ones taking the alcoholic version of that. On your way in or out, don't forget to say hi to the concierge for the night and feel free to take your complimentary pumpkin bucket filled with candy he has for guests. Don't worry about checking the candy for trackers. It's not like he would ever do such a thing. 😇 Happy Housewarming Halloween. ooc notes: just a stupid little housewarming mingle thrown together where bruce makes an attempt to Do Something for his kiddos and friends he has here. Diana also lives within the townhouse and so friends of hers are welcome to stop by as well if she'd invite them. whoever the kiddos want to bring along with them are also welcome to stop by but please stick to the first floor where the shindig is or else bruce is going to be Disappointed aka i'm still figuring out the rest of the floors.

( licking over his lips, he goes and sets the empty glass down on the nearby table, hands slipping into his pockets. )

[ Dylan sees the Suspiciously Realistic Skeleton shoving its golden counterpart in the closet. He gives them a brief eyebrow raise but keeps walking.

Later, when he spots Nico, he grins and says quietly: ]

Nice of you to set your skeleton friend up with a date. They going to a nice romantic pawn shop later?

[ he shrugs. ]

Lanterns are supposed to uproot themselves. We're not supposed to have homes.

So you're not doing the whole socialite thing?

[ not that kyle ever knew that side of bruce. he's only ever known batman. ]

( he’s not fully there yet. )

I just thought it might be nice to have everyone together.

( aka he’s making an attempt to try. )

It's still nice.

[ he's gentle about it. ]

And it looks like people are enjoying themselves.

( a soft hum and a gentle scan of the room to catch a fleeting of glance of diana. )

Looks like. Maybe I went a bit overboard with the decorating though.

( another sip. )

I'm sure Diana is happy you're here. Being from the same place and all.

[ he. definitely saw that. and not imagining things. right?

it better not be another apocalypse. ]

It is nice to touch base.

I wouldn't know.

( it's said softly and more to himself before he looks over to kyle. )

You came alone?

[torchbearer]

Yeah.

[ there was a diana, but she didn't know him. and that had been rough. he couldn't reach out to bruce.

he's used to being alone. now that he's ion again, he can feel the desire to disconnect from reality go higher. but kyle is holding on. for now. ]

It's fine. I'm used to it.

[At that, Jason’s expression softens and looks more considerate. Bruce is right that it would be for her privacy instead of out of respect for him]

I promise I won’t bug it. To be honest, I’m surprised you two are living together.

Sometimes, it’s about the theatrics and making an impression too. Depending on who your audience is.

I guess it makes sense if you’re gonna fly all over the galaxy as a space cop. You got favorite spots outside of Earth?

[torchbearer]

Mogo, for sure.

He's a Green Lantern planet. The best. He'll make you some beaches, nice weather, anything you want.

[batsymbol]

( he knows they won't stop bugging or tracking him, but diana doesn't deserve that invasion of privacy. at his surprise at her living here, he glances to jason for a moment before he looks back around at everything. )

She has her own floor. ( so it's not technically living together? at least in bruce logic. ) Better than staying at the hotel any longer.

( contrary to how much bruce tends to push others away and keep to himself, he does care and he is generous with those he cares for. )

Maybe he'll show up.

( jason, he means, but. he hadn't expected any of them to show up, in all honesty. better to not get ones hopes up after all. )

[torchbearer]

[ kyle smirks. ]

You really think he's gonna show?

[batsymbol]

( he shrugs. )

Maybe to see Bear.

[torchbearer]

Maybe.

But I wouldn't count on it.

[batsymbol]

I'm not.

( bruce never gets his hopes up for anything. )

[torchbearer]

Still, you never know with him.

[batsymbol]

( rather than say anything to that, he hums a little in acknowledgement. )

That being said, there's space here if you ever need it. Three other floors.

[ that's a big offer. kyle looks a bit overwhelmed before clearing his throat. ]

( for as much as he likes his privacy and keeps to himself, bruce can be generous with those he cares for. those within his circle. even if he acts nonchalant about it.

a nod in response, he takes another sip of his drink - another glance off to diana before he licks over his lips and looks down to his spooky looking drink. )

You're a good guy. Put up with a lot more than you need to. It's the least I can do.
