There's a time between Christmas and the new year where technically, Santa isn't watching. He's already decided who's naughty or nice and handed out the appropriate presents. So, it's during this period of the Yuletide Purge that Loki begins to scheme and plan out his next bit of mischief, making sure everything will be in motion just in time for January. Santa can't judge him if it's something he technically did the year prior, after all.

The first week of January is a time for renewal, resolutions, reflections, and other words that start with re-. On January 3, a spell is cast to ensure renewal for all! No need to worry about that gym membership or cleaning out the house, Loki's handled it for everyone.

When you wake up this morning, you find that you're... shorter? Your bed feels too big somehow, same with your clothes and well, everything. If you rush to a mirror, you'll see that the face that greets you isn't your own. Or at least not the one you saw yesterday. Congrats on your second childhood, it's an age swap event!
Loki's spell aims to age everyone down to around the age of 10-14. Players are free to choose a different age for their character to switch to, and while the spell is more likely to make someone younger than older, there may be a rare case where someone is aged up, especially for already young characters.

Characters can keep their adult memories or have their mind completely revert to the age they appear to be, have fun with it!

Skilled magic-users can reverse the spell for individuals, but the spell will only end completely once a week has passed, at which point everyone will revert to normal.

But attempting to meddle with the spell might end you in more trouble, such as aging you down even younger, losing adult memories if you haven't already, and things along those lines.

The main point of this event is to have fun! It is magic and goofy and mischief! If it's more fun for your character to not participate, then that's fine and the spell can miss them. If you want to combine different elements, go for it. I mentioned the intentions of the spell for inspiration, but please don't let that restrict you! I really just want this to be the most basic of fun events that everyone can play around with as they like!

Does your character want to try and find the source of the spell? If they're experienced with magic, it's easy to trace back to the youngest Loki. Characters are also welcome to just assume it's him because... it's kinda obvious. Please feel free to bring all your grievances to him!

TLDR;

- Loki cast a spell so more people would be his age (10-14)
- Everyone is welcome to participate, the spell covers all cities and includes NPCs
- Everyone is also welcome to NOT participate, or pick and choose elements, the spell isn't perfect
- You can choose what age your character turns (including older or younger)
- Characters can keep memories or fully revert to childhood self
- It's possible to reverse the spell, but also possible to end up making it worse
- All spell effects will end by January 10
