It's Friday October 27th when this housewarming shindig happens at the townhouse in Central he's recently purchased for himself and with it being so close to Halloween, he decides to decorate it a little. Or maybe a lot. He's still trying to get the hang of this whole Bruce Wayne thing. Either way, the lower floor of the five-story townhouse is decorated for the spooky season and the one floor he'd prefer people to stick to since he's not the only one who lives here. There's food and refreshments available with something hopefully for everyone and if you're in the mood for something a little more spooky for a drink, there's this little guy lined up along one of the tables to be enjoyed, the flavor being a tart pomegranate with a touch of sweetness to it. Yes, it can also be alcoholic and yes, he has someone stationed there to ensure those of age to drink are the ones taking the alcoholic version of that. On your way in or out, don't forget to say hi to the concierge for the night and feel free to take your complimentary pumpkin bucket filled with candy he has for guests. Don't worry about checking the candy for trackers. It's not like he would ever do such a thing. 😇 Happy Housewarming Halloween. ooc notes: just a stupid little housewarming mingle thrown together where bruce makes an attempt to Do Something for his kiddos and friends he has here. Diana also lives within the townhouse and so friends of hers are welcome to stop by as well if she'd invite them. whoever the kiddos want to bring along with them are also welcome to stop by but please stick to the first floor where the shindig is or else bruce is going to be Disappointed aka i'm still figuring out the rest of the floors.

"You think so?" Dylan's a little too distracted by the compliment to get a good look at at first. "I'm glad. I'm testing out some of my powers, and customizing clothing is something I've been toying with for a wh — Oh my god you're Storm."

He's a little starstruck, to say the least.

Ororo looks at him, a bit startled. This was a party that, she thought, was mostly attended by those who were from the same, or similar, realm that Diana and her friends came from. She doesn't expect anyone to recognize her here.

"I - yes, I am." She gives him a closer look, expression very contrite. She tries to remember all young mutants she meets, but right now his identity escapes her. "My apologies. Have we met?"

"Sorry!" Dylan's worried that he somehow came on too strong the way fans do. "It's just... you're one of the X-Men. I mean, there's a lot of X-Men, but you're one of The X-Men." There is a difference, even if Dylan can't quite articulate it.

"We haven't met, but... we were both part of taking down Knull, if you remember that." He pauses, then adds, "I was the one who broke everyone free of his mind control."

"Oh! Oh, yes, of course." She looks even more apologetic then, frowning thoughtfully. That felt almost like a lifetime ago. "Well - I remember what I was conscious for, at least. I was... indisposed at first. But I've read the mission briefs." The ones penned by the X-Men, by Wakanda, and by S.W.O.R.D. It was a galactic affair, eventually.

"You were very brave. I understand you and your father were instrumental then?" She reaches out to offer a hand to shake and a warm smile. "We haven't met, so I was never able to thank you personally. Let me correct that now, Dylan."

Dylan reaches forward and gingerly takes her hand. He's nervous, but he's still beaming. Back home, he'd felt a bit like he'd been tossed aside and forgotten in the months following Knull's invasion; Here in this world, most people didn't even know about it. It felt nice to be remembered.

"Yeah." He pauses, than adds, "I mean, it wasn't just me. But my powers were similar enough to his so that once I got close and grabbed his hand, I could reach in and start breaking his connection to everyone he was controlling. Jean Grey helped me a lot." He could still remember how it felt to have the force of her power backing him up.

"And then when that was done, I think she used me as a waypoint to get into his head."
