It's Friday October 27th when this housewarming shindig happens at the townhouse in Central he's recently purchased for himself and with it being so close to Halloween, he decides to decorate it a little. Or maybe a lot. He's still trying to get the hang of this whole Bruce Wayne thing. Either way, the lower floor of the five-story townhouse is decorated for the spooky season and the one floor he'd prefer people to stick to since he's not the only one who lives here. There's food and refreshments available with something hopefully for everyone and if you're in the mood for something a little more spooky for a drink, there's this little guy lined up along one of the tables to be enjoyed, the flavor being a tart pomegranate with a touch of sweetness to it. Yes, it can also be alcoholic and yes, he has someone stationed there to ensure those of age to drink are the ones taking the alcoholic version of that. On your way in or out, don't forget to say hi to the concierge for the night and feel free to take your complimentary pumpkin bucket filled with candy he has for guests. Don't worry about checking the candy for trackers. It's not like he would ever do such a thing. 😇 Happy Housewarming Halloween. ooc notes: just a stupid little housewarming mingle thrown together where bruce makes an attempt to Do Something for his kiddos and friends he has here. Diana also lives within the townhouse and so friends of hers are welcome to stop by as well if she'd invite them. whoever the kiddos want to bring along with them are also welcome to stop by but please stick to the first floor where the shindig is or else bruce is going to be Disappointed aka i'm still figuring out the rest of the floors.

( pulling his head back some so as to have a better look at her. )

Did you want to head to bed?

[ She looks back at him, and lifts her hand from the puppy to find his, sliding her fingers into his palm. ]

Stay the night with me?

[batsymbol]

( feeling the tips of her fingers run across his palm, he slips his own between hers, lacing them gently. )

Sure. ( a beat. ) If you don't mind a third.

( because he's sure bear will stay up here as well. )

Not at all.

[ Her bed is more than big enough for all of them, and she likes the idea of falling asleep in Bruce's arms, the puppy curled at their feet. ]

You're both welcome.

That's good. Would hate to have to tell him to find his own bed.

( though bear does have a bed or two for himself, they're not up here on diana's floor. maybe that might change at some point. especially with a curious pup having found his way up here now. )

He's already come all the way up here. That's quite a climb for those little legs.

[ She keeps her fingers tangled with his, turns her gaze back out on the window. The moon has risen now past the frame, but the light still spills into the room. ]

I'm sure he'll be perfectly comfortable here on the couch or at the foot of the bed.

( a glance down to the resting pup, he looks out the window with her, catching the way the light spills into the room. )

I'm glad you're here.

( he says then, soft. )

Being here without Alfred... it's been an adjustment.

( to be alone in a house. )

[ She looks up at him, a little surprised, but listens quietly as he speaks. ]

I could never replace Alfred.

[ Her own voice is a quiet murmur. Gentle, the way she is so often with him, despite the way she knows he can fight, hit, be hit. ]

But I'm glad to be here. And I'm glad to have you here, too.

[batsymbol]

Bear, too.

( another glance down to the pup whose ears twitch a little at hearing his name. )

Yes.

[ She smiles at the little dog. ]

Bear, too. It was lucky for him to be found by you.

Maybe he found me.

( who's to say. )

Perhaps.

[ And maybe they all found there way here, to this world, for a reason. She squeezes his fingers, gently. ]

Come to bed.

[batsymbol]

Alright.

( smile faint there on his lips, he lets his fingers slip out of hers and shifts then. bear shifting a little himself at the movement, bruce goes and scoops the pup up in his arm as he stands, holding him close to his chest as he does. )

You too, little guy.

[ Bear yawns and cuddles into Bruce's arms, and Diana smiles, then sets a light hand at the small of his back, guiding him with her into the bedroom. It, too, is simple; a large, comfortable bed facing another window, this one with gauzy curtains drawn, more to protect her privacy than to keep out the light of moon and stars and dawn, when it comes.

She goes to her closet, drawing her shirt off as she does, and speaks over her shoulder. ]

Set him down on the bed, wherever you like.

[batsymbol]

( doing just that, bear is gently placed near the foot of the bed, a hand rubbing over his soft head as he helps the pup out of that leather jacket then. tail wagging and being on all fours, bruce sits there with him at the foot of the bed, petting him and gently trying to coax him to lay down, leather jacket set aside. a glance over his shoulder towards diana, he looks back to the pup there who's flopped over on his side, seeking belly rubs from the looks of it. )

The room's fine for you?

More than.

[ She slips into a tanktop and out of her jeans, then heads to the en suite to brush her teeth. ]

I'm afraid I don't have any shirts that will fit you. You'll have to make do without.

[ Teasing, before she slips into the bathroom. ]

Think I'll manage.

( it's said after her as she slips into the bathroom and he looks back to bear there on the bed, gently scratching at his belly before he pulls his hand away and sighs a bit.

he just... sits there. listens to the gentle sounds of diana there in the bathroom before he goes about removing his pants, leaving him in his black [surprise] boxer briefs. tie pulled off around his neck and shirt unbuttoned, he glances over to bear there beside him — watches the way in which the pup settles down there and sits there with him, leaving his shirt open as he cards fingers through his hair, pushing it back some. )

[ When she comes back, she walks toward him through the dark room, nudging his knees apart so she can stand between them and run her own fingers through his hair. Gently tugging his head back so she can look down into his face.

Her eyes and voice both soft. ]

Come lie down with me.

[batsymbol]

( he lets his head tip back as she wants — lets blue eyes look up to her with that softness in them they tend to have for her and he leans back on a hand, the other reaching up to gently stroke along the curve of her waist. )

If that's what you want, princess.

[ She smiles as he calls her by her title. It always sounds just a hair sardonic coming from him. Like it should be a nickname, instead of her birthright. Leaning down, she presses her lips to his, gentle but certain. ]

It is.

Then I guess it's bedtime.

( he's very mindful of bear there beside them on the foot of the bed and so he's careful in the way he leans up into her just a touch, letting that kiss linger for just a few moments longer. when it breaks, he noses her. soft. a lick over his lips as if to taste her like always, then finally gets himself up to stand and goes about slowly removing the unbuttoned shirt from himself. )

Yes.

[ She goes around the bed to pull back the sheets and slip beneath them, watching as the fabric slips off his shoulders, leaving him pale and scarred in the shadows of her room. The sheets are cool and crisp and she shifts toward the middle of the bed, pulling back the rest so he can join her.

Bear gets up to turn around, then settles back into a curled-up ball of sweet, snoozing puppy. ]

I think Bear has the right idea.

[batsymbol]

Seems like it.

( with the shirt now removed and set aside with his tie, he rolls his shoulders back a couple times — cracks his knuckles in a slow manner, and rounds the bed with a glance over his shoulder to the large windows there in the room.

sheets pulled back courtesy of her, he joins her there in the bed, knee sinking down into the mattress first before he lets himself drop down to it gently with a soft huff, hand coming up to card fingers through his hair. stretched out on his back, a knee ends up bent beneath the sheets and he stares up to the ceiling. just... needing a second for his mind to accept this. )

[ The bed shifts as he gets in, and she waits for him to lie back before tugging the sheets up over them both and laying her head on her pillow, looking over at him. ]

You did well tonight, I thought.

[batsymbol]

Did I?

( it's asked with a soft puff of amusement there on his lips, fingers gently tugging at strands of his hair, arm bent, lolling his head some to look over to her beside him. )

Didn't think you were keeping an eye on me.

( aside from the whole talking to kyle part. )
