It's Friday October 27th when this housewarming shindig happens at the townhouse in Central he's recently purchased for himself and with it being so close to Halloween, he decides to decorate it a little. Or maybe a lot. He's still trying to get the hang of this whole Bruce Wayne thing. Either way, the lower floor of the five-story townhouse is decorated for the spooky season and the one floor he'd prefer people to stick to since he's not the only one who lives here. There's food and refreshments available with something hopefully for everyone and if you're in the mood for something a little more spooky for a drink, there's this little guy lined up along one of the tables to be enjoyed, the flavor being a tart pomegranate with a touch of sweetness to it. Yes, it can also be alcoholic and yes, he has someone stationed there to ensure those of age to drink are the ones taking the alcoholic version of that. On your way in or out, don't forget to say hi to the concierge for the night and feel free to take your complimentary pumpkin bucket filled with candy he has for guests. Don't worry about checking the candy for trackers. It's not like he would ever do such a thing. 😇 Happy Housewarming Halloween. ooc notes: just a stupid little housewarming mingle thrown together where bruce makes an attempt to Do Something for his kiddos and friends he has here. Diana also lives within the townhouse and so friends of hers are welcome to stop by as well if she'd invite them. whoever the kiddos want to bring along with them are also welcome to stop by but please stick to the first floor where the shindig is or else bruce is going to be Disappointed aka i'm still figuring out the rest of the floors.

( everything always goes to shit for them. granted, ace and titus are generally pretty hardy just on their own, but. )

( slowly, he takes a sip of his drink then eyes jason a little more curiously. )

Why this costume?

[reneger]

'cause Wonder Woman's the best Leaguer there is.

( to be fair, there are a lot of different qualifications for best. if they wanted to go most powerful, it wouldn't be her. hell, it'd be hard to quantify. bruce has plans on how to take out everyone, kyle's - a god currently, superman's himself. and that's not even touching shazam, the speedsters, the martians, the reincarnated birds... )

( softly, a hm. another sip of his drink. )

You should find her at some point tonight. I'm sure she'd like your costume.

[reneger]

I'll say hi.

( for now, he's going to saunter his way over the kitchen. why? to sift through bruce's cabinets. )

( and bruce will be watching him snoop his way through the kitchen. )

Looking for something?

[reneger]

Checking to see how terrible you are at shopping.

( it's mostly the truth. he's sifting through bruce's pantry, into his fridge, checking what he has on hand-- )

( hopefully jason wasn't hoping for much because it's just a lot of delivery boxes, iced coffee, and other random shit in the fridge. )

Worried about my diet?

[reneger]

No. I know if you're eating worth crap, ( which it looks like bruce is. does jason have to do everything around here? ) you're supplementing it on the side.

[batsymbol]

I do fine.

( aka he orders in enough. )

You don't have to worry.

[reneger]

You're worse than Dick.

( just in case bruce was unaware. jason clicks his tongue, closes the cabinets.

pulls a knife out from just below his collar, and presses it up against the bottom of the cabinet, sliding it over until it stays and leaves it there. )

[batsymbol]

( flatly. )

You going to want that back?

[reneger]

No. I'm storing it.

( and pulling out another one. how many knives does he have on him? a mystery best left unsolved. )

[batsymbol]

( just a sigh. )

As long as you're enjoying yourself.

[reneger]

( hidden weapons can be useful, okay. is he planning on coming back around? probably not. but just in case. )

Surprised I didn't find batarangs yet. Where'd you hide 'em?

[batsymbol]

Why? Don't have any yourself?

( does jason even use batarangs? )

[reneger]

'course I do.

( which is clearly what he's reaching for when he bends down and reaches into the side of his boot. pulls out a few batarangs from the pocket sewn in to the side of it, before he's spreading them and holding them with the pointy end towards the floor. )

Nicer ones than you've got.

Maybe I'll have to ask Santa for some this year.

( that's said with a faint smile but oh-so-dryly at the same time. )

[reneger]

( least his sense of humor's still there, even if bruce is busy living in his emo phase. jason snorts, before he's shifting the batarangs in his hand, balances the three of them on the tip of his index finger while holding them out. )

Does Santa come for rich little boys? Thought he was just for the middle class.

[batsymbol]

Guess we'll find out.

( a shrug, he reaches out for one of the batarangs there balancing on jason's finger. )

And it's not as if Bruce Wayne means anything here.

[reneger]

Didn't take you long to work up to home ownership here. So.

( he doubts bruce'll be 'broke' for long. he takes one, and jason pockets the remaining two. )

Self-made. None of my old toys came with me.

[batsymbol]

Just the suit then?

( with what came here with him, he means. )

[reneger]

Suit didn't come with me.

( but he is--looking down to the wonder woman gear he'd worn to bruce's place. )

Though this one's selfmade, too.

[batsymbol]

( he gives jason a slightly puzzled look. )

What'd you end up coming here with then?

[reneger]

Coming to this Earth with?

( the specification is--vaguely important. jason could backtrack to what he'd ended up with when he'd first been displaced away from everyone else. not the donna and kyle adventures, which technically happened before that but was remembered after.
