The shurikens were meant to be distractions while the bolas were supposed to do the real work. In Jason’s mind, most people would dodge the sharp objects first and not think about what might come flying right after that. What Donnie did instead isn’t quite what he expected.

After watching his quarry skillfully avoid getting fully tangled up, a small part of Jason is annoyed. But a much bigger part of him is excited that this isn’t going to be a short fight.

He jerks to the side to avoid his own weapon before firing his grapple gun right at Donnie.
