Jason’s own guilt grows as he watches Donnie become more visibly upset. Whatever else had happened to him, it was clear it was taking a toll on him. Jason feels like he made it worse. He wouldn’t exact label Donnie as a traditional friend but he does consider him someone he wouldn’t have shot at with so little thought. The kid doesn’t deserve that.
