[Open] Get this party started on a Saturday night
Who: Dick Grayson
forceforlight
What: Housewarming/Birthday party at the Belfry!
When: 23rd of March
Where: The Belfry, Central
Content Warnings: None as yet
Notes: This is a gathering post! Feel free to top level and interact with each other!
It's definitely spring, finally, with the sun managing to burn off the worst of the morning chill. And, finally, with work finished on the main floor and winding down on the apartments, it's time to make things official.
Which is why the doors of the Belfry are wide open, music pouring out into the street.
Inside, the ground floor is mostly taken up by a large, open floor plan, communal living room. One wall sports a massive television, complete with multiple gaming systems that can be hooked up. Facing the television are a couple of couches and armchairs, set around a massive coffee table that has coasters and chips ready for people to dig in to. Another grouping of couches and armchairs are set away from the television, closer to the stairs and surrounded by multiple bookshelves stocked with books from an eclectic array of subjects.
Opposite the TV is a kitchen that takes up most of the wall, with two fridge-freezers with signs saying to help yourself to the cold drinks, as well as several trays of sandwiches and veggie plates, which will be replaced by pizza as the evening wears on. There's also a large, family-sized oak table with more chairs for people to sit on.
There's a blocked off stairway at the back of the room, an elevator in the tower at the front of the building. Two doors that lead from the room. One leads to a guest bathroom and the other is locked.
At the end of the night, before things wind down entirely, a chocolate sheet cake appears on the kitchen island, with Happy birthday, Dick! written on it. Apparently, there's more than one reason for the party, after all.

Jason Todd (DCAU version) | OTA
He drops off a wrapped present, gets himself a drink, and then lingers against a wall, away from most people. He has no plans to stay for the whole party but he also knows if he leaves too early, it could be another flag to other people to try and get him to talk more than he wants.
To help pass the time, he looks around and seems to be taking in how the Belfry is so far.

How the hell did I miss this
"Me? Bouncing early? Why? I'm a really social butterfly," he says.
He's come to find Bette as one of the easier BatFamily members to get along with. It was probably because there was just the right amount of emotional distance to avoid most of the personal issues he has with certain other members while also having the shared familiarity with Gotham vigilantism.
Dick Grayson (Comics version) | OTA
Dick moves between the groups mostly effortlessly, introducing himself to people who he doesn't know and greeting people he does. But he does, eventually, pull back to the kitchen with a drink to grab a sandwich. He looks up with a smile, offering the platter to the next person. "Want to pick first?"

Seeing as how he is a growing teenage boy with easy access to food, etc. etc. He'll eat more later. "Did you want me to take Haley out for her walk later?"

Like with the rest of the Belfry, Jason had come into the kitchen to check out how the space turned out. So far he thinks it’s decent.

"This building is incredible. It feels very Gotham."

Inside the envelope is an obviously terrible punny card and tickets to an upcoming circus performance. There's no question as to which one he'll like better, she knows that. "It was either that or rounding up everyone for a family portrait, and no one is that big of a masochist."
Bette Kane | OTA
She’s dressed in red – her confidence color – and she’s brought a gift with her, that she leaves with the other gifts. It’s not much. A throw blanket she ordered, patterned with designs of various Titan logos – Nightwing, Donna, Arsenal, Tempest, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy and, perhaps cheekily, Bette’s own. It seemed appropriate. Personal, but not too personal. Something to remind Dick of home without it being too overly sentimental. Something to make the Belfry feel like home.
Okay, it’s possible she’s overthought it a bit. Or a lot..
Bette does a quick lap of the party, getting the lay of the land, shooting smiles and nods at people she thinks look familiar, before helping herself to a fruit-flavored sparkling water, and finding refuge on one of the couches near the bookcases.

(She also has a Tim heading over to check on her in a few minutes.)

Though she doesn't have any treats to give the puppy - though she loves dogs, Bette's never had one as a pet, because her tennis schedule had her on the road a lot - what she does have are lots of pets, which she gives freely and with little coos of "What a sweet little puppy!"
When she looks up and sees Tim heading her way, she gives him a warm wave. She knows Tim. Kind of. Sort of. Though this one feels distinctly younger, which could mean anything here.

They haven't spent a lot of time together, either here or back home, even though he knows she's generally in the family. He doesn't spend a lot of time with the greater Wayne family that aren't Bats, seeing as how. Well. Why would they even feel the need to have him around?
"Her name's Haley," he adds, although she probably knew that already, given that she has to have worked with Dick at some point. And she has her own social media and everything.

"How are you liking the new digs? Did you help design any of it?" He was, she now knew, the smart Robin. She was pretty sure that stayed consistent across all Earths.
