[ The sun is shining on the field of play, three lines drawn on the grass in chalk; one across the middle for the Bifrost Guardians to stand on, two at either end of the field to denote safe spaces for runners to cross over into. Nearby a grassy bank hosts the observers who don't want to play.

The game is simple. Everyone wears an armband of fabric that changes from red (Guardians) to Invaders (Green) once the latter are captured by the former and have to join them for the next attempted crossing. Once your are captured, you are immediately a Guardian! Guardians start out as one person (Diana!) unless you really want to be on her side and signed up for it, and whoever she stops crossing the field joins her team to stand on the middle line the next time Invaders rush their way across.

Magic is banned but natural physical abilities are not, so if your body is capable of impressive feats you may have an advantage (fair or not!).

Each game lasts as long as it takes to capture Invaders and will be timed. Once everyone is captured, Loki becomes the Guardian and it all begins in reverse. The winning team is whichever captures their Invaders fastest ... or something.

No one is here to play referee, after all.

[ During the first charge Loki does everything he can to escape Diana's grasp (as well as that of anyone opting to help her), testing out how fast and strong she is by weaving behind other rushing bodies. If he pushes you closer to her, he's sorry! Only he's not!

Keep him safe! He's the captain!! (Is that a rule? Who cares, he's shouting it!) ]

[ Either standing alone or with his fellow captured Guardians, green team is ready to take you down. ]

[ So this nerd brought water and red Gatorade for players and observers alike, lugging a case of each in a stack. No sign of that super-strength casualness, he's pretty glad to put them down when he finds a nice spot on the grass.

From his backpack, he pulls out a hardcover book with no dustcover. Spine's barely cracked. The backpack might have a secret lemonade stash, but Tim will make you say the magic word. ]

[ loki has gotten himself a large lawn chair, a martini and an umbrella because he's going to do this in the shade, thank you. every time something happens, he claps very, very slowly and takes a sip. ]

[sup Loki, don't mind this kid plopping xeir but nearish-you to sneak some of that shade, but otherwise trying to be as innocuous as possible-

-aside from loudly munching on some crackers. what? snacks are good. at least xey're chewing with xeir mouth closed, and actually swallowing before yelling out a good-natured jeer if-when someone does something particularly 'graceful'?]
