[Sephiroth stills for a moment, staring at him. Loki's said it before, but that doesn't make it familiar. The words have a strange sound to them and he feels a little light-headed.

Then he processes the question.]

I want to.

I feel things I haven't felt before. I don't know the accurate way to describe them.

[Not just some alien thing in the shape of a person, pretending to be a person. As though he has something worth pursuing.

He was used to people giving up, or not even trying. He didn't know how to connect and no one thought it worth the bother to teach him. He's sure many of them thought he couldn't.

Loki only worries he wouldn't be able to love Loki.]

[ his hand rests on sephiroth's cheek. ]

[Sephiroth grasps Loki's wrist, not to pull his hand away, but just for the contact.]

[ his expression gentles, gazing at sephiroth. ]

[He gives Loki's hand a light tug so he can kiss his palm.]

[ his eyes are bright as he leans against sephiroth. ]
