[ The park has been commandeered to host all kinds of fun activities, stalls and various things for families to do. Colourful green tents and banners, all emblazoned with Loki’s symbolic helm are littered all throughout the park with helpful signs navigating tourists and locals to the myriad of potential amusements for everyone to enjoy.

First, you should help yourself to one of the gift bags. Full of goodies such as Loki bobble heads, a plastic helm tailored to your head size and a green snake as a pin. If you’re not keen on these and try to dispose of them, they will find a magical way to cling to you. Perhaps if you find a creative way of getting rid of it, the spell may fail.

But don’t get caught up in the goodies. There are plenty of games and competitions for people to try out! For instance, there is a dagger throwing competition where you can win a protective runestone made by Loki himself. The daggers are made of rubber and you’re required to hit the moving Thor-gets — targets.

May your aim be true.

Or perhaps you’d like something a little less challenging. There’s a cosplay competition where the “best dressed Loki” wins a free dinner and a chance to shake hands with the mayor. Even if you lack the costume, there are bins of convenient Loki costumes (ranging from poor quality to high) for you to try out.

Do your best Loki impression and win that free dinner!

And because this is Sunset Falls, there is a best bowtie competition for your dogs to try out. The winner gets a one-of-a-kind bowtie from Loki.

Of course, it’s not all games. There are vendors with all kinds of food, ranging from corndogs to cotton candy. You can even pick up some flavoured boba tea or lemonade as you wander through the festival. There are even small plays artifully re-enacted around so you can get a glimpse at Loki's life.

1. rough guidance

( wow, oh wow. talk about gaudy. have you ever seen anything like this before? anything so blatantly narcissistic and comical? something like looks like the hair-brained advertising scheme hatched by the comic villain of the week?

eda loves it.

has loved it since she first heard about it. as such, in the spirit of the occasion, eda has taken to outfitting herself in one of the loki-styled outfits. owlbert doesn't need anything more than a little plastic helm, but eda has always had a flair for the dramatic. she obviously grabbed one of the more dramatic outfits, a deep emerald dress ordained with gold, a massive fur coat, golden hair decorations, and a helm of her own.

green's not really her colour, but she still feels like she's rocking it. and what's the point of dressing up if not to be seen?

eda can be found walking through the grounds, ready to "help" anyone who looks like they're undecided on where to go or what to do next. it's easy to see her coming too as she towers over most of the stalls. )

2. lean in

( here's the thing.

there is such a thing as the importance of leaning in. it's a crucial and vital skill that more people really ought to learn. is it a little insane to dress up like your mayor? of course. what's more insane is to pass up the chance. how often do things like this happen?

how much break time do they get between the chaos? there's probably going to be some problem or another in a couple weeks. why not just put on the stupid clothes and admire all the dogs sporting fancy little bowties?

should someone have an interest in the boxes of gear, eda is here and ready to all but guide them to the dressing room tents. unfortunately, too many like to simply walk away! )

Hey, hey! Where are you headed? We got to get you into something that suits you.

3. wildcard

( hit me with something else!

eda will largely be walking around the festival and available for interaction. feel free to put this witch into a situation. )

[Mayuko is finished with the social media blitz and yep, she is not sure where she wants to go now. Jun is helpfully twine-ing her leash around Mayuko's legs in an effort to poke her nose everywhere. Mayuko catches sight of Eda as she unwinds herself.]

Maybe? It feels like I've been all over and nowhere. How do you think it's going?

Hm.

( careful, thoughtful, but definitely a little exaggerated. almost like she's trying to pretend to be a little more elegant. )

I think it could be better if we started getting you more into the spirit! How do you feel about a change of attire?

( warning: mayuko's best interests may not be at heart. )

I have plenty of spirit-- I put on the pin!

[She gives the jewelry a game tug. Yep, the snake pin's an official one because it is NOT budging.

Since it's ~~the Professor~~ Eda, though, she sighs.]

How much of a change are you thinking of?

Oh, darling, the pin is the least anyone could do.

( glance, glance. she sees that pin sticking.

then suddenly her hand is against mayuko's lower back and she's guiding her towards one of the dressing chests. )

Why don't we see what the options are first? I'm sure we'll find something perfect!

( let's go, let's go. )

[Mayuko, under normal circumstances, projects a rocksteady air. An "immoveable, cannot and will not be budged" aura.

She is also easily toppled by friendship. So she is swept along like a dustbunny.]

How did you wrangle so many outfits? His theater troupe can't have that many people....

[ he certainly hopes she is. much of this came through with eda's help. loki is more or less caught up with the culture here, having lived in this place for over a year now, but he still needs help with his blind spots. ]

( with a dramatic flourish of her furry cape, eda offers him an excited grin. )

How could I not? I was born for theatre.

( said while pressing her bony fingers against her chest. )

I'm almost surprised everything seems to be going so well!

[ wryly. ]

Your confidence in me is flattery. I'm overcome.

Hah!

( a quick laugh and a flap of her hand. )

I'm not talking about you. Don't worry. But if you haven't noticed, things like to get suddenly "wacky" every now and again.

( which is pretty much what she's used to though. )

There is an element of chaos present in this place.

( get it? teehee, he's the god of chaos. mischief. same thing. )

It looks good on you.

[ it is strange to be back in this role. and to have earned it. loki pauses for a moment, absorbing that. ]

I should hope so.

Then this is where you charm me and tell me how good I look in this outfit.

( kindly just moving the conversation along for him, emphasised with a very smooth sway of her hips to show off the dress. )

And, you know, the way you're struggling to keep your ego in check with a whole shing-ding like this. With your name and face everywhere.
