Holding his bag of purchases there at his side, he listens as Dick talks, rolling those words around in his ten year old head before he looks up and over to the man. "It's a good idea," he says. "Especially if lockdowns happen or someone needs to be away on their own for a bit."

When they approach the Batmobile, he stares at it and the shadows gently drop away from it again, revealing itself to them.

"I thought of maybe fixing the place up for Starfallen," he adds, in regards to the abandoned dorm Dick found him at. "If people need a place to stay that isn't the hotel. Some place to lay low and feel safe." Maybe it's a little more Bruce Wayne to do than he'd like to admit, but. It's something for him to do at least.

Dick smiles at that. "That sounds like a really good idea, honestly. There are a lot of people who don't feel comfortable with the hotel. If they had another option, they'd probably take it. And finding places to live when you don't have ID is difficult here, I've found."

Getting into the passenger seat again, he sets his bag down near his feet, staring still how much shorter his legs are in here. "It's better than being there by myself." What with it being so big and without Wayne staff or even Alfred to keep him company.

Dick gets into the car as well, reaching out to give Bruce's shoulder a squeeze. "Being on your own is difficult. I think that's one reason why my Bruce keeps bringing home strays."

Looking over to Dick, he stares at him for a long moment in silence before he looks away — looks out the window of the batmobile on his side. "I'll be fine." He always is.

"You always are," Dick agrees as he turns on the Batmobile and backing out of the alleyway. "Just reminding you that you don't have to be fine on your own."

I do, he wants to say, but... refrains. Feeling there's no point in trying to argue with Dick and that, in the end, he'll do what he wants anyways as Bruce always does, so. Instead, he just keeps staring out the window, recalling the twisted versions of his parents attacking him here — Alfred being in critical condition in the hospital back in his Gotham. Alone just seems like a sort of endgame for him no matter how he looks at it.
