[ Nice try, Bruce. ]

Do you know where that is?

[ Dick assumes not, but maybe he was being too sloppy and got spotted. ]

( that was [mostly] completely innocent. )

No. But I can take you somewhere close by.

( he honestly doesn't want things to be difficult between dick and jason. )

The best place would be where we met up. [ As if 'intervening in a beatdown' is the same as meeting up for lunch.

Dick leans against the table, looking thoughtful. ]

Jason's kind of weird. Not bad weird, just weird weird.

( weird is certainly a word for him. bruce can think of a couple others, too. )

Do you trust him?

[ Dick stops and thinks carefully. He prods his instincts for any kind of doubt. ]

Completely. Same with you.

[batsymbol]

( having not entirely expected that, he can't help but drop his gaze to the table. it's in that moment he starts wondering what he's doing here. the tracker, the batarang, the bringing dick back to this temporary spot — the impromptu sparring that led to him actually laughing a bit with playing around despite also seeing what dick was capable of. he's not dick's bruce wayne... not his batman... he shouldn't get attached.

teeth worrying his lower lip, he looks up then, grabbing his cowl as he moves away from the table. )

Don't forget your stuff.

( the batarang and tracker, he means. )

[ Dick sees the shift and suppresses a sigh. He's even more emotionally constipated than the Bruce back home.

He picks up the knife holster and straps it onto his upper arm. He's very intent on it, not looking at Bruce while he's talking. ]

I trust you, you know. Being familiar helped, but it wasn't a determinant.

( cowl in hand, he stops there near the batmobile, looking back over to dick as he gathers his things. )

I'm glad it helped.

( looking down to his cowl, he pulls it on over his head then, grabbing his cape to fasten it back on before he goes to open the doors of the batmobile. )

You ready?

[ He pulls his hoodie on and sighs. Dick doesn't know this Bruce well enough to be sure, but he thinks he might have missed the point on purpose. ]

Yeah.

[ Dick walks over and drops into the passenger seat. ]

Thanks for the gear, by the way.

[batsymbol]

( standing for a moment, he waits for dick to get himself comfortable before he slides into the drivers seat, door closing beside him.

sitting there in silence, he just barely looks over to him before he starts up the batmobile - lets the engine hum as it comes to life. )

Try not to lose it.

( he goes as if to say something else, but. refrains. instead, he focuses on revving up the engine some before he takes them out of here. back to some place close enough for him to get back to jason. )
