[ if you are trapped in arcadia and musing on a way to take down the authority and bust your way out, then you may notice a green magical butterfly in your vision. it's beckoning you. somehow. don't ask how magic works. you end up following it through arcadia until you set into a room.

a room unlike those in arcadia. it's all golden with red drapes and torchlights. even the view from the windows seems starry, unlike anything on earth. and there's loki, dressed in a black suit, tapping his foot impatiently. ]

[ he pauses to calculate the time. ]

[ Raine's eyes narrow ever-so-slightly. ]

And you have been stuck in Arcadia all this time?

I am the Mayor of Sunset Falls.

[ Raine nods, keeping their expression neutral as they process this information. Then, they smile politely. ]

A mayor! I see. What's Sunset Falls like?

[dothelokimotion]

[ he hums. ]

It is a town brimful of magic. Supernatural creatures tend to congregate there and there are leylines that run through the town. I like to think it is a place of openness and chaos, allowing people the freedom to be.

[whistlestoptea]

[ ... well, if that doesn't Raine think of a certain witch. And, well, perhaps a good place for witches in general. They smile. ]

It sounds very nice. Perhaps I should visit there someday.

After this little incident is resolved.

Of course. [ A pause. ] Say, is Arcadia... new? Or has it been around a long time?

[dothelokimotion]

No, Arcadia is a recent addition by the Alliance. A poorly thought out one.

[whistlestoptea]

Hmmm. I had a hunch that might be the case.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki gestures to the place loosely. ]

What gave it away?

[ Dryly: ]

Mostly the everything.

Who would have thought?

Nonetheless I don't expect to see Arcadia lasting more than a few months.

Certainly, I doubt many people would feel comfortable with staying there if there's another option.

[ At least the few people Raine had met there up to now weren't happy about their situation at all. That gives them a bit of hope that they can combine their powers to get out and beat this. ]

With the teleporters out, it's unlikely you'll get far. But I have no doubt others are seeing to this.

We just need to be prepared to make our move.

[ Raine nods, then a smirk forms on their face. ]
