No, not really. It's a shame but I've outgrown the desire for a castle and a throne.

I don't know. I've changed so much. Sometimes I wonder if I'm much of a Loki anymore.

I thought change was part of being Loki.

Yes, but they also don't become Mayors or theatre owners respectably.

[ that's what their last fight was about, loki telling him what a joke being mayor was. what a trifle.

I spent so long, thinking I knew what I wanted, thinking if I got it, everything would be just right.

But it never was. So I suppose I don't always trust myself.

[ loki smiles at him, soft. ]

[He grins at that, pleased to hear Loki say it.]

Because as lovely as it is to be pressed against the door, I don't want to spend the whole day here.

[He chuckles. They really didn't make it very far, did they?]

[But he will give Loki a tug towards the bedroom.]

[ he twines their fingers together, giving them a squeeze. ]

[He squeezes back as they head down the hallway.]

[ it's still wild, unfathomable to think there is someone right here who cares about what loki wants. who doesn't look down at him for them. who doesn't make him feel small and ashamed. ]
