[ and of course, he needed to ensure that the theatre was performing. it seemed to have lost some profits, due to the lack of manpower and loki's absence but he hopes it won't be a lasting issue.

he decides to unveil a musical month. big props, special effects, the usual flair. perhaps it'll also distract the citizens of central city, give them a good time.

that being said, loki does smile as he releases "ROGERS: THE MUSICAL" to audiences. someone is bound to enjoy it. and it'll probably annoy the avengers, which is also a win in loki's case. he glances at whoever is near. ]

You should go see it. I guarantee it'll be . . . entertaining.

[Dana's been lurking around the Opherium since she got word that Loki had been allowed to leave Arcadia, hoping he'd show up. She wasn't expecting him to appear while she was looking into a new show out of genuine curiosity, though.

[She turns to him and giggles.]

I really should, so I can compare it to Batman: the Musical.

[She sobers a little and glances in the direction of his office.]

Though I wanted to talk to you about... stuff that's more related to your other job.

I should do that one too.

[ anything to stick it to bruce, that bastard. he follows his gaze before giving her a polite gesture with his arm, to go forward. ]

By all means. To my office.

[She raises an eyebrow.]

Oh, you know it? And him?

Well, we can continue the conversation there.

[She walks- not teleports- to the office. Trying to keep a lower profile still.]

[ curtly. ]

I knew him. Another lifetime ago.

[ once they arrive at his office, loki closes the door quietly. ]

This place is secure.

Any idea which one? Apparently there's like half a dozen worlds with a Batman. [And that's before getting into his successors.]

Using your magic? I've got trackers still, but I don't think any of them are wires. Even with the Fixer neutralized, they don't want to take chances. [She gives him a heartfelt smile.] Thanks for that, by the way.

I could not tell you. Our acquaintanceship was short-lived.

[ he blinks, a bit nonplussed at being thanked. ]

Our goals were aligned, that is all. There's no need for gratitude.

They're probably all pretty similar anyway. Just either younger or older. [The number of kids is the main difference, and that's not something an outsider would notice.]

Still. What you did helped all of his victims, and whoever we might have terrorized, so you deserve thanks.

And- I think our goals are still aligned. Arcadia's still there, even if they're letting you out.

[ loki shrugs. he has put bruce out of mind for the most part, though loki is a petty man who harbours grudges like magpies hoard shiny things. ]

I'm still working on things on Arcadia, I'm simply more careful about my visits there.

[ he doesn't want to put sephiroth through that again. ]

[She looks at him, surprised.]

Oh, you are? Even though they might try to trap you again?

I'm not one to be cowed by anything or anyone.

I wasn't suggesting anything- it's just, when you've just gotten some freedom back, it's not reasonable to expect you to immediately risk losing it again. Even if someone needs to take that risk, it's like, why not enjoy the break and let someone else take the risk for a while? Though there aren't that many someone elses... [She shivers involuntarily.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki purses his lips for a moment. ]

If I do not risk it, that would mean they have win. I have let them have that power over me.

It may be reasonable, but I am not, by nature, a reasonable person.

[She gives him a small smile.]

My boyfriend would say something like that. It's one of the things I love about him. He doesn't let the bad guys just win by doing nothing.
