Ready?

( junior has a gun out, loaded and ready, but jason's not going that far. not yet. he doesn't leave any space between the yes and his lurch forward, straight for junior. kyle can get out of the way fast enough if needed, if he's not being stupid he'll have his guard up--so jason doesn't feel any need to hesitate in immediately raising a fist and swinging it straight for the stupid hood that was his first because he's older and he knows damn well how stupid it is to try and shove knuckles against it, but it's fine. his suit's on, pulled down over his knuckles, and any fractures or broken bones he gets from being stupid and hitting shit too hard is all on him. )

He's less angry than he was the last time they fought but he still has no shame in what they're doing. He knows the older man's gear can take a good beating and by god does Jason really want one. Monster hordes aren't the same as beating someone you hate because of how similar they are to you]

and getting the hood slammed into his face, apparently. fingers grab onto his jacket and jason knows where it's going before junior leans in.
doesn't move to get away from it, but tenses minutely just before impact--and the air around them shifts. instead of junior slamming their heads together, the hood's met with an immovable barrier of shadows just a little larger than one of their hands. )

Heh. Nice trick.
[At least the Confluence didn't give them similar powers.
Jason summons a double-edged sword out of thin air before charging forward]

( but the grin curling up the corners of his lips reads elsewise: he's not angry, but he is excited. there's nothing that gets him going quite as well as a good fist fight, and fighting someone who knows him and knows how to play dirty properly is great.
junior pulls out a sword which isn't extremely surprising given--his own bullshit, and jason responds in turn by reaching a hand behind him, fingers curling into the shadow that covers his hand and pulls until it creates a sword that mimics the same size and shape as the one junior's got in hand.
charges forward, too, with his own raised to block junior's own. )

I'm almost jealous.
[While still pressing hard towards older Jason, a second sword is summoned the same way as the first and younger Jason attempts to stab him in the stomach with]
no subject
raises the sword up to block the one that's coming for his midsection, free hand dropping down to grab hold of a gun. ) should be. Only two? C'mon, I know you can do better than that.
no subject
Aw. I'm flattered. But where's the fun in having a short fight?
no subject
( nah.
because jason's raising that gun up, pointing it straight for junior's shoulder and firing. he's not carrying rubber rounds, not this time. )

In response, Jason releases a handful of smoke pellets and switches to the thermal vision in his helmet. He then takes out his other gun and fires]

disappearing entirely, slipping into the shadows. if they're playing with their new toys, he may as well be obnoxious about it. )
no subject
Come on, come on. Any moment now.
[His swords are ready to slash at whatever movement comes at him next]
no subject
Boo.
( it's an opening, and it's left open intentionally. he's waiting for junior to hit at him, waiting for just the right moment to hit back. )

it does hurt like a bitch still, enough he's grunting and letting out a breath.
but the grin doesn't fade. jason's hunched forward a little, but his lips are spread in a wide grin. )
If you wanna make me bleed--you're gonna want to aim for my face, sweetheart.

Once again, jealousy begins to squirm in Jason. His doppelganger has better toys, more vigilante experience, and better bonds with people. God he wants to beat that cocky smirk off of his face]

Jason then attempts to yank him into a body slam]
no subject
his elbow drops down to dig into junior's shoulder, right beside the knife. jason gives a sound low in his throat that sounds a little too similar to bruce's batman growl, as that same elbow tries to twist and shove right against junior's throat. )
no subject
You sound just like him.
[The last word comes out like a disgusted hiss. He hates his double so much for how much he can see Bruce's influence on him]
no subject
he's not playing anymore. there's blood dripping down his face, over his mouth, and he's--not quite as steady on his feet as he'd like to be. it's fine.
they don't need to come out of this in one piece anyway. )
You look in a mirror lately?
no subject
Yeah. That's why we're doing this.
[He's hurting and bleeding like hell but he doesn't care. The part of him that just wants to brutalize has taken over]
