When I can annoy you more by staying? No way.

[Leo looks at Accelerator’s back, then reaches over and puts a hand on his arm, or more accurately the sheets over his arm.]

Had anything to eat or drink today?

[levelshift]

[Accelerator's less-than-encouraging response to being touched is to curl up further. He can't even muster up the energy to knock Leo's hand off, even though he's radiating the kind of murderous vibes of not wanting any physical contact.]

No.

[Are you kidding, he hasn't even gotten out of bed.]

[faceguy]

[Woof, not in a touching mood at all, huh?

Leo pulls his hand back, then gets to his feet. There's gotta be something to drink in this place that isn't canned coffee...]

Be right back.

[Off he goes on food and drink quest 2023! And yes, he does see Donnie still asleep on the couch. Maybe he should get him some food, too...]

[He definitely won't be going anywhere!

Unfortunately for Leo, the only things to drink in the apartment are canned coffee and tap water. How does Accelerator live like this? Who knows. His blood is probably entirely coffee at this point.]

[faceguy]

[Geez, not even soda or sports drinks. How does he live like this?

Tap water is better than nothing. Though when Leo puts in the order for food (from that pho place that Huvrye likes), he's also going to add an order for some sports drinks. The electrolytes would be good for Accelerator.

For now it's back to the bedroom with the water.]

Special delivery.

[At least he's keeping his voice lower than usual.]

[He lives a very sad life made up of tap water and bad coffee.

When Leo comes back into the bedroom Accelerator doesn't respond right away. He had been half hoping that maybe both turtles would just decide to vacate the premises, but no such luck.

He shifts a little, grumbling.]

Fuck off. And take your brother home.

[Yeah, he got up once and saw Donnie asleep on the couch, and made no attempt to move him.]

[faceguy]

No can do. Food’s on its way.

[He comes around to the side of the bed Accelerator’s facing and holds out the water.]

Humor me, alright?

[levelshift]

[Why is food on its way. He doesn't want food to be on its way.

He glares at both Leo and the water, increasingly tempted to just roll over, but he isn't sure his level of stubborn can beat the turtle's, so after several moments he reluctantly sits up and takes the glass.]

I'm not hungry.

[faceguy]

[Food's on its way because he has to eat! At least a little!

Leo smiles when the glass is taken, even if Accelerator is still looking at him like he wishes he could explode him with his mind.]

I didn't ask, did I? You gotta eat something, man. Even a little.

[levelshift]

[It's the most hostile water drinking ever. Accelerator is downing a few gulps before dropping the glass on his night stand and flopping back over with his back to Leo, pulling the covers up.]

I don't. You're just being fucking annoying.

[faceguy]

[Oh no, being called annoying. How will he ever survive?

(Accelerator should know by now being called annoying only makes him more powerful.)

Jokes aside, Leo has no intention of just dropping it. No matter what Accelerator says, it’s not good for him to dehydrate and starve himself, no matter how bad he feels.

And if he can’t take care of himself, that’s okay. Leo can do it for him.]

Yeah, well, maybe you need someone to annoy you.

I’ll be back when the food’s here.

[Accelerator can sleep until then.]

[levelshift]

[Resuming being a useless lump, Accelerator just grumbles to himself. Just let him be miserable on his lonesome, goddamnit. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.]

Don't be.

[There is absolutely no point in saying that, he knows he isn't going to change Leo's mind.]

[faceguy]

[Nope!

He’ll go back in the other room and settle in to wait. Next to Donnie. Wonder if he’ll even wake up…]

[purplexing]

[Donnie'd been slowly working his way back into wakefulness, finally stretching a little as he feels someone else on the couch there.

He yawns, rubbing at his eyes as he sits himself up. Where was... Oh. Right. He glances around, noting the lack of any real change, and as his brain starts waking back up, he looks over his shoulder where Leo is.]

He get out of bed yet?

[faceguy]

No, but I got him to drink some water.

[Leo shrugs, scrolling through his phone.]

Food's on its way.

[purplexing]

[Donnie nods, stretching out his back some before he settles against the couch again to pull out his phone.]

I brought him coffee but he didn't want it.

...he tell you why he's taking a raincheck on today?

[faceguy]

He didn’t want coffee!?

[The situation is more dire than he thought.]

No, but I didn’t ask.

[purplexing]

[His hand looks about to cover Leo's mouth at that exclamation, and he casts a furtive glance towards Accelerator's room before he lets out a sigh. He could let the esper explain, but he decides to save him the effort.

Donnie looks at Leo, keeping his voice low.]

...it's the day of his injury.

[faceguy]

[Oh, right… That would explain some things.

Leo sighs, putting his phone down to rub at his eyes. Not that he really had any hope of getting Accelerator out of his current funk, but now that notion is totally gone.

He hates it for the guy. He knows what Accelerator did, but to get shot in the head when he put his own guard down… Leo gets why he’s depressed.

Doesn’t change Leo’s plan, though.]

Well, we’ll get some food in him. That may be about the best we can do right now.

[purplexing]

[Donnie nods. He's not really good at this thing so he's glad Leo's here to help on that end.

Even if leaving seems like what Accelerator'd prefer them to do, the idea doesn't sit well with him.]

[faceguy]

[Leo will just chill on the couch with Donnie until there’s a knock at the door, then he hops up to go grab it, knocking his hood back up as he goes. If the delivery person is at all concerned by the green tint of his skin they don’t say so.

Soon enough Leo is back with the pho and sports drinks, some of which he passes off to Donnie.]

Alright, let’s see what we can do here.

[purplexing]

[Slipping off the couch at the promise of food, Donnie takes whatever Leo hands him, moving to set them on the table. He's pretty sure he'd accidentally skipped lunch and has no idea how long he'd been napping, so he's glad Leo had thought to order food for all of them.]

Well, best we can do is try, right?

[faceguy]

[Someone has to be practical around here! (How did that end up being Leo, though…)

He nods at Donnie, then heads for Accelerator’s room and knocks on the doorframe.]

Food’s here. Come try to eat, alright?

[He’ll carry him! Don’t think he won’t!]

[levelshift]

[To the surprise of no one, Accelerator has not budged an inch, and he doesn't even when Leo reappears in the door.]

Eat without me.

[Sorry bud you're the oldest here which makes you the designated older brother.]

[purplexing]

[That is something Donnie will only acknowledge when it works in his favor. But it's not like he purposely shirks such responsibilities, they just happen to slip his mind because he gets too caught up in other things.

He watches anxiously from where he's sat back on the couch after folding the blanket up. Accelerator's response is barely audible from there, but Donnie doesn't have to guess too hard to figure that even food isn't going to draw this kid out.]
