[There may be some changes to the timeline now but Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is still open for business. There are always people looking to have a good time drinking and blowing off some steam with a good song. It doesn’t matter if they’re ordinary civilians or some of Central City’s more... colorful characters. Just be nice to the bouncers and check your weapons by the entrance first.

To reflect the fall season, Descendant has included seasonal drinks like pumpkin beer, apple cocktails, and spiced maple bourbon.

Meanwhile, some of this month's most popular songs seem to be reflecting Halloween, such as Highway to Hell and Monsters. Or maybe you want to do a more classy number like Witchcraft? Descendant looks like a speakeasy after all. And in a total coincidence, Time Warp has also shown up on the popularity chart.

If you drop by at Descendant on a Coyote Ugly Night, you’ll find the atmosphere considerably wilder and wetter. You might’ve even already seen some of the social media posts and videos of the employees performing. They certainly look like they’re having a good time.

Perhaps you’re coming in during a more normal time. Come by for a drink. Maybe rent a private karaoke room or karaoke on stage in front of others if you’re feeling brave. There are some bar games around too.

You can always just people watch as well. Those who are especially observant might notice that some of Descendant’s customers are a bit... furtive as they keep their heads low or quickly scurry to one of the private rooms.

There’s always the reading room too for those who want a more quiet ambiance.

And then there's the very select few who are allowed upstairs in the attic apartment.

Whatever the case may be, Jason will be around. As Descendant’s owner, he’s a busy guy with plenty he has to do]

[ She will absolutely see at least one friendly face, because the establishment is at least mostly non-criminal. It's a real bar, with karaoke and pool and a good group of regulars and a semi-regular stop on bar crawling bachelorette parties. Generally speaking, 75% of the customers are normal people. Which, if you think about it, is better than any dive bar in Gotham.

Tim does his best to finish up the customer he's serving and beeline for her, which brings a few quiet grumble-laughs from the other bar patrons. On one hand, some of them wanted his attention. On the other hand, they'd be going to Diana first too. ]

Hey! I wasn't expecting you here. What or who can I get you?

[ She warms immediately, smiling over at the young man as he approaches and straightening from her drink, a glass of red wine of indeterminate provenance which one of the other bartenders had given her. ]

I thought I'd come see it for myself. This is quite an impressive establishment.

[ That smile quirks a little more toward 'amused.' ]

Well, who is available?

[ Well, first thing's first, Tim's fixing that drinking. Another glass appears, and he ducks down to get a bottle of the locked fridge behind the bar. It's not even on the menu - this is the stuff that they break out when, ahem, VIPs rent one of the back rooms. He slids the glass towards Diana, but doesn't take away the one she's got. ]

Jason did a good job setting it up. I guess it turns out he has an eye for things like that?

[ He shrugs and smirks back. ]

For your bartending needs, me. For your hanging-out off-the-clock purposes, I can drag up any of my brothers and a few of their friends on extremely short notice. If we're going for specific meanings of available, I think Alejandro's single.

[ It doesn't even occur to him to include Bruce in the single calculations, and any of the Robins would just be odd to joke about here. ]

[ Her laugh is a little wry, and she lifts her glass for a sip. ]

A thorough answer. If any of those options strike my fancy, I'll be sure to let you know.

[ The service here really is excellent. She gives the new drink a curious glance, but patiently works away at the one she has for the moment. There's no need to waste it. ]

Has everyone recovered from the events surrounding our little trip?

[ The service isn't bad, but she's definitely getting special treatment. Tim nods at the response - that, plus the wine: everything's fine. If it was something more dire than a social visit, she'd have jumped on it. ]

It's a permanently standing offer. And if you're asking me, I could stand to have a vacation to recover from my vacation. The others are fine.

[ They're at least behaving normally. Tim's pissed at Bruce, but that's like 30% of his life regardless of which Bruce, and miffed/hurt in Dick's general direction. He hasn't really sought out either for much of a chat. ]

[ Wry, again, as she recalls the number of times we aren't on vacation was said in that little motel back in 1985.

Perhaps that's where Bruce is. Taking some time to get away from it all. But, considering she's one of those things he'd be getting away from, she can't say it feels all that wonderful from her end. ]

I'm not keeping you away from your other customers, am I?

They can wait. Someone else will jump in if they see I'm tied up..

[ Part of the charm of the bar is that it's sort of a dive and the waitstaff are attractive and mouthy. The emphasis is not on speedy service. They chat. It's how you find out more about the rougher customers. As long as you do it with a smile and a sympathetic ear when it's their turn, the rest will keep. ]

How've you been?

Well, for the most part. It's very strange to be here, but I'm grateful to have found so many familiar faces.

[ And a few like, but unlike, those at home. ]

But tell me about you. How are you? Where are you staying? What has been taking up your time?

[ Ohhh, he can't really get into half of it. Not even for her, but he smiles anyway and waves a hand at the bar. ]

Working, mostly. I'm boring.

[ And working should be understood without having to say it. ]

I had more going on, but Bart and Kon aren't here anymore.

[ Wow, there's a sentence that almost gives him PTSD from saying aloud. ]

They disappeared in a Confluence. I'm choosing to believe they're home.
