[There may be some changes to the timeline now but Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is still open for business. There are always people looking to have a good time drinking and blowing off some steam with a good song. It doesn’t matter if they’re ordinary civilians or some of Central City’s more... colorful characters. Just be nice to the bouncers and check your weapons by the entrance first.

To reflect the fall season, Descendant has included seasonal drinks like pumpkin beer, apple cocktails, and spiced maple bourbon.

Meanwhile, some of this month's most popular songs seem to be reflecting Halloween, such as Highway to Hell and Monsters. Or maybe you want to do a more classy number like Witchcraft? Descendant looks like a speakeasy after all. And in a total coincidence, Time Warp has also shown up on the popularity chart.

If you drop by at Descendant on a Coyote Ugly Night, you’ll find the atmosphere considerably wilder and wetter. You might’ve even already seen some of the social media posts and videos of the employees performing. They certainly look like they’re having a good time.

Perhaps you’re coming in during a more normal time. Come by for a drink. Maybe rent a private karaoke room or karaoke on stage in front of others if you’re feeling brave. There are some bar games around too.

You can always just people watch as well. Those who are especially observant might notice that some of Descendant’s customers are a bit... furtive as they keep their heads low or quickly scurry to one of the private rooms.

There’s always the reading room too for those who want a more quiet ambiance.

And then there's the very select few who are allowed upstairs in the attic apartment.

Whatever the case may be, Jason will be around. As Descendant’s owner, he’s a busy guy with plenty he has to do]

Fine.

[It was his idea after all. He tries to reel back his temper again]

At worse, light bruising. Ripped clothes are fair game and would probably be better for the customers.

[reneger]

You gonna keep your mouth shut?

( because they both know how these fights keep escalating. neither of them can shut up. )

[robintohood]

As long as you keep yours shut too.

[It's too easy for one to trigger the other. As he lets himself get dragged back to the bar, he pokes at his double's chest]

Wouldn't want any blood on each other.

[reneger]

I'll work on it.

( but he's--tipping his head down, to look at the finger poking at his chest. )

You sure? 'cause I'd just love to break your face again.

[robintohood]

The feeling's mutual but we know there's a time and place for everything.

[He still has no regrets in saying his double sounds just like Bruce]

[reneger]

Uh huh.

( they're in the bar proper, which means it's the perfect time for jason to find a nice wall and shove junior right into it. )

[robintohood]

[Jason gets shoved and for a second, his temper flares up to want to punch his older self again. Then he reels it back in as he remembers this is supposed to be a show and not yet another one of their real fights. So instead, he opts to grab a fistful of his double's crop top and shoves back.

The customers begin to notice and start to stare. Some are intrigued while others are more nervous on if this is about to be a fight]

[reneger]

( cute. they're playing a game, here, and it's one that jason's relatively familiar with. maybe not with his double, but it could be worse. junior shoves, and jason takes a step forward, into him. until they're almost chest-to-chest, and his smarmy grin's just inches away from the other's own.

murmurs soft enough that it stays between them, )

Don't forget - you did ask for a public ass-kicking.

( he's waiting. waiting for junior to flinch, waiting for him to reach for a punch, for a good enough response to justify throwing him into the bar itself. )

[robintohood]

[There's a flash of a glare and it's another tiny indicator of how much Jason wants to actually hit him. He stands his ground, still chest to chest with the other Jason.

But it's true. He bought up the idea in the first place.

While still looking at the other Jason, Jason grabs a water pitcher from the closest table and pours the water and ice over the man's head.

The crowd gasps and there's some laughter now]

[reneger]

( the water drips down his hair, flattening curls against skin, and jason's--grinning, wide and fierce. his tongue pokes out from between lips to lick at the water dripping down his face, before he's raising a fist up.

doesn't hit with his full strength as he tries to slam it straight into junior's gut. )

[robintohood]

[The crowd gasp as Jason coughs from the hit. Just because the punch wasn't at full strength doesn't mean it didn't hurt. He stands back up chest bumps his double closer towards the bar]

[reneger]

( cute. jason takes a step back, but he's raising a hand to try and curl his fingers into junior's hair in the same breath. )

You should really learn to shut your mouth. ( it's more context for the room around them than junior himself. if he manages to grab hold of junior, he's going to twist them around, to try and shove him face-first down against the bar. )

[robintohood]

[Jason grunts as he gets dragged and he tries to twist free from the other Jason's grip. The red crop top gets teared in the process.]

[reneger]

( that was a perfectly good crop top, thanks. it rips, and jason looks down to it for a moment, then grips on harder onto junior's hair and yanks. )

I know you can do better than this.

[robintohood]

[Jason fails to hold back a yelp when his double yanks at his hair again. It's getting more difficult to stop himself from turning their performance into a real fight.

So still wincing in pain, Jason swings a left hook towards the other man's stomach]

[reneger]

( this doesn't count as running his mouth, does it. this feels more like. . . gentle sass for fun. fighting quietly is just boring. or maybe that's just the robin in him talking. it's not a fight if it isn't loaded with banter.

junior slams his fist into his gut, and jason lets out a rough breath, bending forward with the hit.

only to reach up and rip off the rest of junior's shirt. )

[robintohood]

[The crowd collectively winces and then some wolf whistle when younger Jason's shirt gets ripped off. He adjusts his indignant expression to one of cockiness to keep appeasing the customers]

That good enough for you, big guy?

[Even his mouthy habit has to be carefully measured in this situation. The Jasons trigger each other too easily]

[reneger]

( he's being careful. jason can hear it. can see it. whereas he's willing to ride the line a little more closely, this runt is making sure he's keeping away from it.

which pisses him off even more. because jason has experience, he should be the one being cautious with his words, his actions, not this guy. a normal person might take it as a good sign to back it up a little, play the roles they're going for in a way that's not going to cause more friction. but jason just takes it as a good sign to try and push his way right on over that line, break junior down before he can break jason.

jason pulls himself up slow. raises a hand, to brush fingers through his hair and push wet strands away from his face. looks down to his abdomen, where there'll likely be bruising later, but for now? looks maybe just a little red. mostly unbothered. )

Honestly? I've gotten worse hits from T.

( maybe not ride the line that close. because it's honest: he has taken worse from tim. his arms raise, in a gesture that reads look at me. and jason's grin turns wolfish. )

Maybe you should get him to fight your battles for you. He'd do a better job of it.

[robintohood]

[Jason's temper briefly flares up again. He knows he's being goaded at and he wants to answer in kind. The public setting is the main thing holding him back]

And let him have all the fun? Nah.

[Without a second thought, Kadon attempts to yank his older self into a headlock]

[reneger]

( he can try. but jason's taking the hand reaching for him and--sliding his own along the outside of it. tries to grab hold of junior's wrist, and in a move that takes significant more flexibility than one would expect from someone his size, he's trying to grab hold of junior and throw him down to the floor over his shoulder. )

[robintohood]

Jason sees what’s coming and knows he can’t break out of the grip. So instead, he grabs the man’s arms and tries to pull him down with him.

[reneger]

( this isn't supposed to be jason winning. he's supposed to let it happen, make it look good. which is the only reason why when junior grabs at him, he doesn't maneuver his way out of the hold and shove his fist straight into his nose. instead, he falls right down on top of junior and slams the side of a fist into his chest once they're both down. )

[robintohood]

[The crowd collectively flinches and moans when both Jasons are on the floor and the younger gets punched in the chest. Some are also making pictures and video. Meanwhile, younger Jason coughs before trying to grapple to flip their positions]

[reneger]

( jason's weight shifts up onto his knees as soon as they're down on the ground, forearm lowering to press against junior's neck to try and start cutting off his hair supply, but it's not - that hard. he's careful to keep his weight up enough that no amount of bucking isn't going to toss him off, but jason is leaning down, to grin right in junior's face.

whispers soft, just between them: )

Bet I can make it worse.

[Jason narrows his eyes to a glare while trying to not gag. A cough does escape him though]

Careful. People might think we’re really fighting.
