[ The townhouse is, honestly, much nicer than she'd anticipated. It's not nearly as ostensibly expensive as the Bruce in her world might pick out – he has the exaggerated persona of Bruce Wayne down to a science – but it's beautifully designed. Her floor is airy and bright, warm with cream and blush-colored furniture and filled with natural light from windows she keeps open, despite the briskness to the air. There's a pretty little tangle of garden outside, now red and yellow with autumn, but she suspects it will be green and alive come the spring.
She doesn't have much to move in, but she'd gone out to buy a few plants to add some life to the living space. Now, she floats near the ceiling, humming as she installs a hook from which to hang a pot filled with trailing ivy. On the clean kitchen counter is a large wooden bowl filled with (full-size) candy bars, with packages of more nearby, waiting for Halloween and the trick or treaters she anticipates.
Strange as this situation is, she's content with it. ]
daughter of the hunter's moon — central city
[ Time is reckoned differently on Themyscira than in Man's World. She'd been born beneath a hunter's moon, and here, that's the name of the full moon that appears at the end of October. It isn't yet full dark, but the moon is rising, and she's found a spot on one of the taller buildings where she can watch the sunset paint the city in red and gold.
She'd had to be careful, coming up here. Until she decides one way or the other about joining the Alliance, she can't be seen using her powers. It's frustrating in the extreme, but it's a good impetus to consider her options carefully. In the meantime, she can still enjoy the sight of sunset and moonrise, and, a little later on, she can still thwart a would-be mugging by surreptitiously flicking a length of lasso to catch around the thief's ankle and tugging him into an alleyway.
Nobody saw, probably. ]
what's this about a hellmouth? — sunset falls
[ Her business in Sunset Falls is complete once she's spoken with Eros and reiterated her promise to be his champion. He'd mentioned a Hellmouth and the mayor, Loki, and she has every intention of finding out more about both... after she finishes strolling around the suburb. There's nothing quite like autumn in New England, after all, and no doubt Sunset Falls has some enjoyable Halloween decorations up. ]

He visibly pauses at the sight of Diana. Theirs was... an unusual first meeting. How do you address someone who lasso'd you out of an alternate self who wanted to become a god?]
no subject
Sephiroth.
[ She crosses the small park to come closer. There's nothing of the battle-hardened warrior about her today; she's in civilian clothing, the lasso that had helped guide him back looped around her waist like a belt. ]
I'm glad to see you.
[ Alive. In one piece. Not attempting godhood. ]
You made it through the unpleasantness unharmed, I hope?
no subject
...yes, I am unscathed.
I don't believe I caught your name.
no subject
[ It's a relief that they parted on reasonably amicable terms. He'd been a formidable fighter, and she'd just as soon not have him as an enemy. ]
My name is Diana. Do you live here, in Sunset Falls?
no subject
I do. It is a pleasant place to live, if you don't mind the supernatural.

Maybe it's his fault, for looking for a job in a bad neighborhood. But those are the kind of places that don't ask too many questions and don't require a fancy degree. Maybe it was a flash of silver under his left sleeve that made him a target, picked up under the uneven glow of a flickering streetlamp.
All he knows is that he barely has time to clench his fists before the goon disappears down an alleyway. ]
no subject
But if she has to remain unseen for the moment, well – there really isn't a better crimefighter to emulate. (There's no sign of the goon. He's peacefully sleeping off his bad decisions, tucked away in the alley.)
There's a brief moment of guilty surprise as she looks over at the would-be victim, recognizing him. ]
Oh – Bucky, isn't it?
[ She's not wearing her costume today; instead, she's in civilian clothing, jeans and a cotton t-shirt. The ever-present lasso, however, still hangs from her hip, and her smile is genuine and warm, if a little sheepish. ]
Hello. It's nice to see you again.
no subject
Would it be a cliché to say I had that guy?
[ Because he did. If it were Clint Barton, or Logan who came to his rescue he'd be a bit annoyed. But he has to admit— it would've been messier if he'd handled it himself.
Maybe he could get used to the damsel-in-distress gig. ]
no subject
[ Had him, that is, although she has no very good idea of Bucky's fighting prowess, or if he has any.
To be polite, she adds: ]
You can take the next one, if you like.
[ It's Central City. There will be a next one. ]

not all the time, but.
he's eyeing the bags of candy there on the table, hands slipped into his pant pockets, and he looks over to her floating there as she adjusts things here and there. )
Didn't know you were into Halloween.
no subject
[ She adjusts the hook, then hangs the pot, eying the way the ivy trails critically. Although she isn't much of a gardener, she's hopeful she can at least keep a few houseplants alive. ]
Although I'll have to come downstairs to the front door to hand the candy out.
[ Diana casts a smile at him, over her shoulder. ]
You could help.
no subject
Maybe.
( it's not a no, but it's also not a yes, either. )
I was thinking maybe we could have some of the others over. ( a beat. ) A sort of housewarming, maybe.
no subject
I think that sounds like a nice time. When were you thinking?

What business brings you here?
no subject
I came to call upon Eros. And then I thought I would take in a little of the town.
[ She smiles, small but warm. ]
Do you live here?
no subject
Yes. I am the Mayor of Sunset Falls.
no subject
[ The other god. That is interesting. ]
He mentioned you, actually. Something about a hellmouth and Cerberus?

hunter's moon;
So she comes from the clouds after a late afternoon flight - she'd seen the glint of Diana's bracelets and familiar form upon a taller building in the city. It's easy to land on a ledge, then simply make her way over on foot - she doesn't want her winds to disrupt whatever thoughts the other woman had in mind for right now. ]
Diana, good evening. Or almost evening, I suppose.
What brings you up so high?
no subject
[ She's always delighted to see the other woman, and shifts to make room for her. The wind, always a loving touch for Ororo, tugs at their hair. ]
Look and see.
[ She gestures out over the city. Central City is... grim. It's a hard, violent place that reminds her more of Gotham than of any other city back on her own world, but right now, bathed in the warmth of a sunset glow and the gentle light of the hunter's moon, it looks beautiful. ]
I couldn't resist the view.
no subject
But she can at least appreciate the warm glow, and Diana's delight is eventually contagious. She grins after a moment. ]
Beautiful, yes. You'd almost forget what goes on below, hmm? It looks almost peaceful.
no subject
[ She turns her face up to the sky, to the stars just beginning to come out. ]
– yes, it looks almost peaceful.
[ The architecture of Man's World can't hold a candle to that of Themyscira, but she learned long ago not to continually hold the one against the other in her mind.
Wry – ]

Centrallll option 2
When he's not flying above the rooftops, he crosses them the old-fashioned way. It's probably better to get in his steps that way.
Perching at the edge of a roof, he glances down as he hears a yelp down below, catching sight of a gleam of gold as someone gets dragged between the buildings. Huh.
The turtle goes along the ledge before dropping down lightly onto a fire escape for a better look into the alley.]
no subject
Donnie. One moment.
[ The unlucky goon is soon rendered unconscious in her grip, and she gently deposits him at the end of the alley, then straightens, turning back to the turtle. ]
I... happened to be in the area.
no subject
Ooh, out patrolling or something?
no subject
[ She spreads her hands. Beneath her sleeves, the silver of her bracelets glimmers. ]
With these new restraints on power usage, I find it's necessary.
