[closed] Mog's Day Celebration
Who: Sephiroth
unkindled_madness, Loki
dothelokimotion, Tina
skagzz, and friends!
What: They made up a holiday instead of celebrating any of the actual things they have to celebrate.
When: November 14
Where: their new home in Sunset Falls
Content Warnings: N/A for now
Happy Mog's Day!
What's Mog's Day? Well, it's not surprising you haven't heard of it, since it isn't an Earth holiday. It's a fall celebration marking the end of the season, before moogles enter their annual hibernation. A simple drawing of a moogle (a white, vaguely koala-like animal with small bat wings) was included in the invitation. On arrival, guests will be asked to don a large red nose, out of respect for Mog. The hosts are exempt from this, given they're the ones throwing the party and all.
Want a tour of the house? The hosts are not familiar with the concept of a housewarming party, but that's essentially what this is, and any of them would probably show you around if you like. They've just moved, but there's no sign of boxes. Rather, the bookshelves and decor seem a little sparse, their belongings having migrated from a smaller space. You may catch glimpses of a large orange cat slinking around behind the furniture. He has not yet adjusted to his new surroundings, and all the strangers aren't helping.
A catered dinner is laid out on the dining room table. (They can cook, they just... didn't.) There's also a chocolate cake waiting in the kitchen for later. It's for Loki; Sephiroth doesn't really care about cake.
The nearby back door leads out into the yard, and the fire pit. Arranged on a table are some materials one might use to create a simple effigy of someone you particularly hate. There's also a bag of marshmallows, seemingly as an afterthought.

But she's beaming. She absolutely loves when Sephiroth plays along with her.

"My apologies. Tell me more about this 'chupamogra' and the sacrifices we're required to make."
no subject
GOOD questions.
"WELL. They need FRESH BLOOD to survive the FULL MOON so must be offered to or they'll come for Loki." The cat. "Bunnies work too but cat is best."
no subject
"I think the sacrifice of other cats might still be upsetting for Loki."

Tina gets that quiet, far off look she gets on occasion. There was a year spent in testing facilities with her parents. And then without them.
Her spark comes back. "SO Imma need allowance for a chupamongra defense system. And explosives."
no subject
...death?
"And what, exactly, are the explosives for?"
no subject
Oh, that is NOT a no on explosives.
"They're for blowing up chupamongras if they dare enter our territory." Obviously.
no subject
Sorry, the no is incoming. He just wanted to know her reasoning.
"I think we can handle them without explosives. Perhaps a trap baited with rabbit."
no subject
She'll settle for traps though those things are GAZONKERS strong.

"Where do you intend to obtain one?"
no subject
It's become obvious over their time together that she likes when he finds her amusing. Not that she'd EVER ADMIT IT.
no subject
And if they wind up owning one (1) rabbit, at least they have a yard now.
"Do you think they're inherently spicy or do you intend to season them?"
no subject
Is she getting unsolicited permission FOR A NEW PET.
This does make blood sacrifice harder tho.
"WELL we gotta audition the ladies some ppl just have a spicy disposition, u no. But also gonna pepper that fur with chilis. To attract the chupamongra."
no subject
The rabbit and the peppers.

He doesn't expect too many invaders.

And then she makes a face. And then she goes over and hugs him around the middle.
"I like our house."
no subject
"...I'm glad."
