Happy Mog's Day!

What's Mog's Day? Well, it's not surprising you haven't heard of it, since it isn't an Earth holiday. It's a fall celebration marking the end of the season, before moogles enter their annual hibernation. A simple drawing of a moogle (a white, vaguely koala-like animal with small bat wings) was included in the invitation. On arrival, guests will be asked to don a large red nose, out of respect for Mog. The hosts are exempt from this, given they're the ones throwing the party and all.

Want a tour of the house? The hosts are not familiar with the concept of a housewarming party, but that's essentially what this is, and any of them would probably show you around if you like. They've just moved, but there's no sign of boxes. Rather, the bookshelves and decor seem a little sparse, their belongings having migrated from a smaller space. You may catch glimpses of a large orange cat slinking around behind the furniture. He has not yet adjusted to his new surroundings, and all the strangers aren't helping.

A catered dinner is laid out on the dining room table. (They can cook, they just... didn't.) There's also a chocolate cake waiting in the kitchen for later. It's for Loki; Sephiroth doesn't really care about cake.

The nearby back door leads out into the yard, and the fire pit. Arranged on a table are some materials one might use to create a simple effigy of someone you particularly hate. There's also a bag of marshmallows, seemingly as an afterthought.

...I do have something for you. It isn't a crown, but it does go on your head, after a fashion.

[ loki blinks, curious. ]

Oh?

[unkindled_madness]

[He straightens so he can reach into his coat to draw out a hairpin. Hopefully Loki will forgive him, presentation is not his strong suit.]

I promised you a token of your own. To replace the braid.

[ oh. his expression goes soft. ]

It's lovely.

It's suitable, then?

[He wanted something that would have meaning to the two of them, but it doesn't seem particularly traditional except possibly in China.]

It's perfect.

[ truly. what a beautiful pin. loki gestures to his back. ]

Will you put it on me?

[unkindled_madness]

Of course.

[He shifts to reach around behind Loki, gently gathering some of his hair, and hooking the pin into it. The braid remains, too, for now, silver ribbon winding down below the pin.]

[ once he's done, loki reaches behind himself to press a finger against the pin. the sensation makes him smile. ]

I love it.

I'm glad.

It looks good on you.

[ he flushes lightly. ]

You have excellent taste.

I do, don't I?

[He's not talking about his taste in jewelry.]

[ okay that makes him laugh as he tugs sephiroth closer for a kiss. ]

[Sephiroth smiles into it and winds his fingers around the back of Loki's neck, brushing beneath his hair.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ there's a moment of breathlessness, fingers against his neck that still lingers in his memory.

but then.

he lets it go, threading his arms around sephiroth. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[Sephiroth doesn't notice the moment for what it is. His fingers twine into Loki's hair, while other hand goes around Loki's back, pulling him close.]

[ loki lets out a soft sigh of pleasure as he deepens the kiss. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[They could still be closer. Sephiroth pulls Loki into his lap.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ oh, loki likes that and shows it by wrapping his arms around sephiroth's neck and tilting himself invitingly into the kiss. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[Sephiroth accepts the invitation, tilting his head into the kiss.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki threads his fingers in sephiroth's hair, running them down to cradle his face. he loves this man. he loves him so much. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[He shivers at the sensation and draws back a moment to catch his breath, his forehead pressed against Loki's.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ he hums, brushing some of sephiroth's hair aside. ]

I love you.

[unkindled_madness]

And I love you. Always.

[He brushes his fingers through the dangling pieces of the pin.]

[dothelokimotion]

Just as I do.
