Maybe they reform when you blow them up, and so they're immortal and that's why they've started kidnapping people as their entertainment. Because the universe gets so boring?

I'll find a way. Got a guy back home who goes by Clayface. Near impossible to kill, but you can water 'em down enough and move all his little bits far away to keep him from regenerating.

( he's not usually one of jason's playmates, but there's been a few times they've crossed paths. not that they need to get into it. jason'll just reach down and ruffle tim's hair instead. )
