[ sunset falls knows how to celebrate.

loki hadn't been around for this one. not that he minds it much now. it is amusing to see how decked out everything is. from magical cookies to hearts nailed onto trees. truly this is the best town in america. he does pause to admire the handiwork (and makes a note to follow that up later. he really doesn't want another cult running amuck in his town).

at any rate, loki thought it might be fun for both of them to see what the festival is all about. he squeezes sephiroth's arm. ]

[Sephiroth pauses to browse. Most of them are, well, pretty kitschy. Extremely heart-shaped. He spends a moment puzzling over some designed like candy hearts.]

Nothing in particular. I'm just not certain what "Xoxo" is meant to communicate.

[He pronounces it like a word, rather than spelling out the letters.]

"Xoxo"? I can't say I'm familiar with that turn of phrase.

Perhaps it's another language.

I doubt it. There must be some meaning we are missing.

[Sephiroth will wait a moment and then put the question to them. Saying "Xoxo" aloud gets a blank look from the seller, but when Sephiroth points it out, they laugh - "X-O-X-O! Hugs and kisses!"

Which gets a subsequent blank look from Sephiroth.]

They are symbols. X for kisses, O for hugs.

...I don't see why they were chosen, but all right.
