( i. grand opening — mingle and drinks )
[ welcome to the opherium. open to all metas, provided youâre up to the dress code. so make sure youâre dressed to the gills with your fanciest clothes or you might just be asked to leave. youâre ushered into a grand hall. there are appetizers like shrimp cocktails and little quiches placed on large tables for you to nibble on and champagne glasses being passed around by waiters. located in the middle is a large chocolate fountain for all you dessert lovers (loki. itâs for loki). grab yourself a drink and go hit up a familiar face. ]
( ii. dance dance )
[ and of course, once the mingling and networking is done, the staff come to clear the chairs away and leave plenty of room on the dance floor. the lights go dim, casting soft shadows against the wall. slow waltzes begin to filter through the hall as gently encouragement to go find a partner, maybe hold them close, enjoy a little . . . company and more.
or maybe you just want an excuse to step on someoneâs foot. equally valid. in fact, there might be a little magic in the air that tugs you towards someone you want to be with . . . ]
( iii. star gazing )
[ the party is winding down. maybe youâre ready to go back. curl up on bed after a late night with drinks and dancing. or perhaps youâre feeling a touch of wistfulness, a need to seclude yourself after all that jazz. consider then, finding yourself a nice quiet corner on the upper levels of the theatre, where there are some nice balconies for you to collect yourself.
and there are always the stars to keep you company. ]

What? N-no, I'm just...
[ Jeez. ]
I've never been to one of these things, that's all. I didn't wanna be rude or something by just eating chocolate all night.

[ buddy. ]

[ Have you, Peter? ]
I mean, there was kind of a party when my aunt opened the center for the homeless after the blip. That...counts.
[ DOES IT? ]
And I had birthday parties. But I've never been to one where you had to, like, dress up.

[ Wow, he realises he made that joke to Loki and has the sense to be embarrassed about it. He manages not to outright apologise. ]
Anyways! What kind of stuff do you want to show at this theatre?
no subject
[ this person's cadence sounds . . . familiar. ]
Plays from our respective worlds and cultures. I'm hoping for submissions from other metas.

Oh, that's a cool idea. I wonder how different stuff is in other universes. I mean, I haven't actually been to see a play, likeâŚever. Not outside of the stuff at school, I mean. Not in a real theatre. Kinda silly 'cause I'm from New York but it's really expensive.
no subject
Why?
[ look, capitalism isn't something he thinks about,,, ]
no subject
Why? Actually, I guess I don't know. Theatre is just something that you need a lot of money to go to usually. Maybe it's because they take a lot of work to produce at a professional level, butâŚI always kinda thought it was pretty classist.
So your plays won't be super expensive to watch?
no subject
I suppose I would have to charge a nominal fee as part of my agreement with the Guild, but I don't think it would be very expensive.

[ He knows some shows charge more. The Captain America show is sometimes out of this world expensive unless you win the lottery seats or you're lucky. ]
I'll definitely come see a play then. More people should be able to access the arts at all, not just rich people.
[ Peter is a STEM kid through and through, but he recognised the importance of other fields okay! ]
