I'm sure Balthier can help me find the most impressive place to get things embroidered. If I chose to get you something with embroidery.

As I said, I haven't given it much thought. We've yet to find a place.

I can't fix that part. She could show up here and I wouldn't know her face.

I've been trying for years to...

[He trails off. And looks at Loki, a touch confused.]

Did Ikol tell you that I'd gone to him to try and steal my memories back from a goddess?

Ikol never tells me anything.

I have no memory of the place. Just like I have none of my sister. And I've tried to find ways to get it back. But... But I can't. I have holes and they're just there.

[And yes, he loves his sister, so much. But...]

I want to remember her. If I could find a way to claw them back, I would. But I also love Balthier. And I may not remember much of her, but I remember some of what my friends gave me of her. I think she would want me to be happy.

[ loki can't help the tinge of bitterness in his voice. ]

I don't have a safe way to really chase after the Greek fates right now. And I've been considering a trip home, like we did with Sephiroth. There are powerful telepaths that might be able to help me.

I'm learning to live forward, to not always look back. It's probably wrong of me. But I just keep losing people I care about and if all I look at are the losses, I'll stop living in today or for what comes next.

Family is more than just blood, Loki. Family is... The people you love and who love you. So yeah, I'm going to try, but I'm trying not to shatter myself on walls I can't break through. I'm only mortal.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I don't remember it and I can't properly apologize or make up for how I treated you because of that. And I'm sorry that I have changed. It's sort of what mortals do.
