[Closed-ish] July birthdays!
Who: All BatFamily members and friends of BatFamily
What: Birthday party for both Tim Drakes
When: July 19th
Where: Central City
Content Warnings: N/A
[Today is both Tim Drakes' birthday. In honor of this, Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is closed for the night for a "private event."
On the ground floor where the bar is and where there's the most open space, most of the tables and chairs have been pushed aside while some have been rearranged to accommodate the party. A taco bar is lined up on one side. Hard and soft shells are available, along with a variety of fillings people can choose to make their own tacos.
A projector screen has been set up in front of the bar, alongside a laptop loaded with a movie library.
The birthday cake is a coffee and chocolate ice cream cake with vanilla frosting. It's safely stashed in the kitchen's fridge until it's time for dessert.
Though this family is absolutely dysfunctional and its members don't all come from the same universe or timeline, they're going to make sure two family members have a good birthday party today. Jackass guilds be damned]
((OOC: Mingle with each other!))

His Bruce, maybe. At least an acknowledgment. But not this new one.
(Dick must’ve given one helluva speech.) ]
Thanks. You didn’t have to come, but…
[ But just thanks. He appreciates it. Tim looks around for his younger alt. ]
You need to find Tim before you dip out.

( he has a card for him, too, after all. which, speaking of, he holds the card tucked inside an envelope out for tim to take. inside, tim will find a gift card to a coffee shop worth one hundred dollars, as well as an extra one hundred dollars in the form of a bill tucked alongside it. while the card itself has nothing in the way of birthday wishes printed on the inside, bruce's handwriting is there instead with the following written: To TJ, hoping this day brings you moments of joy you can look back on fondly. - Bruce
when tim takes the card, he slips his hands into his pockets. )
I figured you can never have enough caffeine and... if you ever need something else.
( hence, the extra money tucked inside. )

He was perfectly fine chirping at Batman on the rooftops and mutually prodding each other at the diner, and he’s embraced the other Robins as brothers on the basis of shared similarities.
But Bruce at his birthday party? It feels so personal. Bruce has skipped entire weddings. TJ turns the envelope over in his hands and then looks up at Bruce. ]
Can I ask why you’re here?
[ It’s not an accusation; he’s allowed to be curious. What’s Bruce getting out of this. ]

( by one of the brothers, of course.
offering a slight smile, though feeling a little awkward in doing so, he huffs a quiet laugh then, licking over his lips as he glances off for a moment. )
I just wanted to stop in — give you your card.

[ He's polite about it and sincerely appreciative, but there is a significant part of Tim that wants to scream, seriously, Bruce? Because that is dodging.
God, would it kill him to admit that he is curious about them? You'd think with a younger B you'd have a chance of having a straight conversation.
Fine, Tim won't press - but he also won't pretend to be an idiot. ]
That's more how than why. So, if you're more comfortable with how, then how have you been?

Keeping busy. ( to say the least. ) Having to start from the ground up again takes up a lot of my time.
( looking back to tim, he offers him a slight smile. )
Otherwise, still getting used to... everything.
( all of you. in small doses. )

Tim will just ... slide in another direction. ]
Yeah, it takes awhile before you'll start feeling like this is "home." The first time I thought of the apartment as home was jarring. You should find a book club or something. Join a pickleball organization.
[ That will never happen. Tim can only keep a straight face through years of practice. ]
