[Closed-ish] July birthdays!

[Today is both Tim Drakes' birthday. In honor of this, Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is closed for the night for a "private event."

On the ground floor where the bar is and where there's the most open space, most of the tables and chairs have been pushed aside while some have been rearranged to accommodate the party. A taco bar is lined up on one side. Hard and soft shells are available, along with a variety of fillings people can choose to make their own tacos.

A projector screen has been set up in front of the bar, alongside a laptop loaded with a movie library.

The birthday cake is a coffee and chocolate ice cream cake with vanilla frosting. It's safely stashed in the kitchen's fridge until it's time for dessert.

Though this family is absolutely dysfunctional and its members don't all come from the same universe or timeline, they're going to make sure two family members have a good birthday party today. Jackass guilds be damned]

To be fair, being an acrobat puts me at an unfair advantage.

Eh. They just need to work harder. Clear that high bar and all.

I'm not sure if they were really paid enough to be interested in clearing a high bar. With the budget, they were probably paid in 'exposure' or 'experience.'

Oh definitely. How else do they get anyone to work on a no-budget movie? We could probably do better just having a cameraperson follow us during patrol.

To be fair, not everyone can be as skilled and exciting as we are.

Which is almost a shame. People don't know what they're missing when they can't somersault in the air and perfectly land on their feet.

Exactly. It's not like it's hard, either.

Right? Most people in this room can pull it off.

[Because they're such a normal group of people]

Well if the hero thing doesn't work out, I guess we can all take up a career in stunt work.

That'd be fun. We're already trained and used to being in costume all day.

True. And Alfred would appreciate it. Stunt work is probably safer than trying to fight mad scientists and people with super powers.

[ But he'd argue that stunt people, while doing great work, probably don't save the world on a regular basis. That's what makes all the risk worth it, in the end. ]
