[ loki falls silent, turning his gaze to the golden-white marble arch in the distance. where odin passed on. he wants to fan the embers of his anger, let his tongue taste the bitterness of his rage, let his discontent sweep him like a tidal wave. but in regards to thor, loki just feels numb. undying fidelity and for what? for thor to find him and leave him over and over?

and even if he didn't mean to, that it was out of his control, what then? what does it mean?

maybe thor was right all along back then. they had gone their separate paths. he would be himself and loki would be loki and that . . . was that.

even if loki would have liked to be there. for his wedding. perhaps loki could have sent a message. called him. but . . . he doesn't. instead he just sighs softly. ]
