Usually this's Alfred's job. Keeping all the idiots who'd starve on their own fed.

[ kyle rolls his eyes. ]

Sometimes, it's just a nice thing to do. To take care of others.

I'm not exactly a caretaker.

( at least not that kind. jason's shoving his fork down into his pancake, and shoving a good-sized chunk straight into his mouth. )

[ kyle shrugs. it feels like jason is making this sound like a bigger deal. ]

Like I said. It's a nice thing to do now and then. I used to do it all the time.

[reneger]

'cause you're a caretaker.

( there's no malice behind it; it's rather playful, actually. and jason's--stopping to take a bite of his own pancake, shoving a forkful into his mouth. )

[torchbearer]

[ kyle makes a sound at the back of his throat. ]

I wouldn't go that far.

[reneger]

You like taking care of people. Being there for 'em.

( he'll even lean into kyle a little, pressing his lips against his cheek. it's not quite a kiss. )

[torchbearer]

[ he smiles, leaning against him. ]

I'm just saying. It's rewarding.

[reneger]

( his smile softens, lips trailing from kyle's cheek over to his ear, )

I know.

[torchbearer]

As long as you do.

[reneger]

I'm taking care of you, aren't I?

( he's even fed kyle, see how nice he is? )

[torchbearer]

[ kyle grins. ]

I'm chalking this up as once in a blue moon sort of deal.

[reneger]

This's one of the perks of helping me kidnap Red over there, ( a hand raises, gestures off to the direction tim's room is supposed to be in. is he in there? who knows. ) so thanks, for that.

[torchbearer]

[ kyle shakes his head. ]

I'm not sure how I feel about being roped into a kidnapping.

[reneger]

( poor kyle. he shakes his head, and jason grins. )

's only Tim. ( it's not like they kidnapped a stranger, just a robin. ) And I didn't even pummel him into the ground this time.

[torchbearer]

[ dryly. ]

I'm sure he was very touched.

[reneger]

He's gotten worse from me. He'll get over it. Or he'll pull Tim-shit and do something downright psychotic as revenge for the injustices that had been pulled on him.

( either way. jason's fine with it; he knew what he was getting into when he knocked tim out and shoved him onto a plane. )
