[Some are bound to notice something off about Sephiroth. It's unusual for him to miss meetings or show up late for work--but not so unusual that it's never happened before. This world has its stressors, and maybe he's just going through something again.

During the same time period, Fantastic has been making news thwarting a small rogue's gallery of fresh new villains. But apart from "Shadow Flare" being pretty tall, it isn't the natural conclusion to think that Sephiroth might be behind the mask. One, he's always professed a confusion and even disdain for costumes and alter egos. Two, all of the fights are happening in or around Central, and Sephiroth only travels there when borrowing Loki's teleporter. Absolutely no reason to connect the two.]

[Sephiroth lets him, though he can't help tensing up. He's never voluntarily submitted to something like this.

[ he pauses briefly when he notices but continues. his touch is as gentle as he can be. he knows how taxing this must feel. to lose control of your body, to subject yourself to this. ]

I finally got some more hires for the theatre. Not as many as I would like, but enough to keep it sustainable.

Indeed. Which frees up some time to plan a festival in Sunset Falls.

Perhaps. The goddess I've contracted with, Isis, asks for a festival and a few other tasks.

So I thought I'd combine them together.

What manner of tasks?

Oh, I have to put an idol of her in the office and she wishes to study me and — [ ah. he clears his throat for a moment. ] — the other Loki.

Study you how?

To observe and ask some questions, mostly.

[ a pause. ]

I met a version of her long ago, in Omnipotence City. She had showed me a little clay snake she had made and called me a witch. Which was silly. My mother was a witch but I only possessed a paltry few of her gifts.

[ he smiles faintly. ]

Perhaps. At any rate, her requests were reasonable enough to comply. So I should be safe for now from the curse.

All I need to do now is the festival.

Well... that's good then. [He certainly doesn't want Loki dying again.]
