[Given all the wild events that have happened in Central City over the last few months, business hasn't been the greatest for Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge. The place isn't going to close anytime soon but it's hard for some people to be in the mood to drink and do off-key karaoke when there's been a parasite invasion, the Society's takeover of the city, and the Alliance’s divisive actions. Arcadia's guards being all over the city, including at Descendant, certainly isn't making things better either.

While Jason and others have been doing their best to get rid of the guards in various ways (with some ways being more aggressive than others), there's only so much they can do without drawing even more unwanted attention to the place.

So after some private discussions between Jason and Dick and then some staff meetings to work out more details, Descendant Karaoke Bar and Lounge is trying something new to rake in more money. For a few weeks these events get advertised under all of Descendant's social media accounts.

This month, if you come visit during certain evenings, you'll immediately see how drastically different these events are from Descendant's usual speakeasy-esque ambiance.

The more energetic songs from Descendant's playlist are getting more play and at louder volumes. There are also a few other songs to further spice things up like Work This Body, Rain On Me, and Can't Fight the Moonlight. Extra bouncers are posted to maintain the "look but no touching the employees" rule. The crowd's pumped up and much of their attention is directed at the bartenders.

Jason and Dick are in tight pants and tight wet t-shirts that blatantly show off their well-toned figures. They're performing flashy bar tricks as they serve up drinks. Water keeps getting sprayed on them. Sometimes they dance on the bar. Sometimes they lightly roast customers. It's all in good fun. And of course, there's a big tip jar in the middle of the bar.

Some of the other employees are also dressed in tight outfits and take turns performing. But it's clear much of the attention goes to Jason and Dick.

[When he'd been told of the karaoke bar and how it helped the Batfam keep a finger on the pulse of the city, he had thought it was a clever idea. Of course Jason would think of something like this. He usually goes to bed early so he can be out and about at dawn, but he made the time to visit Descendant just to see what it was like. To maybe even see the rest of the family he hadn't met yet...

But then the wet shirts come out and Duke is drowning in embarrassment and mortification. This cannot be happening, why is it happening, how does he stop it from happening, can a supervillain attack something nearby please?]

Please tell me I'm hallucinating.

[Scarecrow couldn't conjure this from his worst nightmares.]

I thought this was a karaoke bar, not...whatever they are doing right now.

[It is hard to be a supportive alternate sibling when he wants to walk back out the door and pretend he doesn't know any of them. He could use a distraction right now.]

[And I will work this body~ I will burn this flame~

After Jason finishes dances to another rendition of "Work This Body," he jumps off the bar to let another employee perform. With his hair and t-shirt still wet, he then gladly walks around to collect tips from customers]

Keep the cash coming and we'll keep on dancing!

[Duke is at the side of the crowd as Jason works his way through, as everyone else seems more engaged to the actual show. Duke is sitting at a table with a hand up covering his eyes...because maybe if he doesn't look at them directly it won't feel as weird to see his brothers dancing wet on a bar top.

He does look up briefly, just to see Jason getting closer. He freezes momentarily. Crap he needs to go.]

[Jason smirks back when Duke looks up at him. He had noticed Duke at the back while he was performing and has his suspicions who this new customer. The look and body language stuck out given how happy everyone else was]

Enjoying yourself so far?

[lightmyself]

[Craaap. He straights up, gives an awkward laugh.]

It's been...yeah. You know uh...I didn't know the karaoke bar did theme nights like this.

[Where people seem even more naked in their wet clothes.]

[Jason's still smiling and clearly amused by Duke's embarrassment]

Yeah, it's something new we're trying. So far it's been fun. First time here? New in town?

[lightmyself]

[Duke still is not looking directly at him, his eyes trained slightly off to the side. It's just too much.]

Uh...yeah, just moved into town. Things have been kind of hectic, but I was checking out the local hang-outs.

[robintohood]

Yeah? Glad you dropped by. Can we get you anything? You should also check out some of the high-rise views of Central too if you haven't already.

[It's a hint that Jason's got an idea who Duke is]

[lightmyself]

Yeah? Maybe I'll check them out.

[Duke says, because he maybe caught that hint and is feeling out just how much Jason has realized.]

I come from a big city back home. Crazy nightlife usually, but the skyline is like nowhere else in the world.

Sounds pretty special. I got some favorite high-rise views where I'm from too. Stuff that usually only birds and gargoyles can see.

[Another hint perhaps]

[lightmyself]

[He's definitely onto Duke. Oh well. He knew it wouldn't last long with a Bat.]

Gargoyles do get the best sight lines, don't they?

Always. I even got a favorite one. How about you?

[Jason's not sure how long Duke's been the Signal so far]

[lightmyself]

Nah, I haven't spent a lot of time around gargoyles yet. My nightlife is pretty boring. They aren't as talkative during the day.

[There are pitfalls to being the daytime hero.]

[robintohood]

Really? Nightlife in a city usually pretty crazy. Or least that's how it is where I'm from.

[Is Duke a rare diurnal vigilante then?]

[lightmyself]

Yeah, I know... [The awkward chuckle this time is more for himself than how utterly embarrassing Jason is to look at.]

My family goes out a lot at night, but I have to get up early.

[robintohood]

Huh. A day shift kinda guy then?

[Jason's used to Gotham's worst crimes happening at night. But then again, Gotham's crappy enough that there would plenty of daytime crime as well. Bruce can only do so much so letting the extended BatFamily cover more hours would make sense]

[lightmyself]

Usually. Not as busy as the night shifts, but someone needs to do it.

[And maybe he looks at Jason more now, but it's still really embarrassing to have some kind of Normal Conversation with your not-brother while his shirt sticks to him like a second skin.]

So uh...how is the nightlife here?

[robintohood]

[Jason grins shamelessly]

Active. Stick around long enough and you're gonna see and hear all kinds of shit around. It's almost a home away from home. You'll probably adjust quick enough.

[lightmyself]

This place is pretty familiar.

[Gotham Away From Gotham.]

So hey...this place is pretty busy. You must have a big staff to help you run it.

We try to keep things decent here. It helps we don't care if you're part of a guild or not.

[Which further reinforces Descendant supposedly being neutral territory]

Everyone's just gotta respect the rules while they're here. That's all.

That's great! Really. I get it. Keeping everything impartial--uh...

[He tries to look at Jason again, but it's so hard when there's...all of that right in front of him. WHY THIS INDECENCY JASON? There is nothing decent about this. His shirt doesn't hide anything and Duke has no idea what to do about this.]

[robintohood]

[Jason snickers at Duke's embarrassment. Jason's been dancing and getting soaked for a couple of hours now and judging by the packed-in tip jars, it's been well worth it]

We're just giving people what they like.

[lightmyself]

Yeah, I can see that.

[Except not looking at him because no. This is not what he likes Jason.]

I think your adoring fans are missing you. You don't have to stay over here to keep me company. Not that I don't appreciate it! Just I know you're probably really busy...

[robintohood]

Nah. I need to take a break anyway. We got plenty of people covering for me. Let me get changed and we'll talk some more in my office.

[lightmyself]

[Duke feels both embarrassed and touched.]

You sure? I can come back on a day when you're less...[naked]...busy.
