After deciding to do some snooping around Arcadia and dragging in Roy after his arrival, Jason and Roy both ended up knocked out, pulled out of Arcadia, and dropped off on an island off of Washington with a facility on it built to hold metahumans. Fun! Except they're both drowsy and depowered, stuck in cells, and aside from Jason's neural implant, they don't have a way to reach out to others from inside. But hey, at least the guards haven't seen their faces, so it could be worse.

( he'll always go back. jason's traveled the east coast, the west coast, everything in between and then some. but he's always returned to gotham in the end, regardless of how bruce felt about it. gotham is his home, his mess, the city he cares about as much as anything else.

jason leans back against kyle. lets his shoulders go loose. )

[ kyle does know how to give a good massage, his thumbs don't dig in hard and he lets his fingers roll off the shoulders. not much, just a little pressure to ease the aches. ]

( there are enough knots to earn a boyscout badge, but jason's not complaining. he's reaching a hand up instead, to grab onto kyle's shirt and yank him down enough so he can move those fingers into kyle's hair. pulls him into a kiss, even if jason being on the floor means it's a little--upside down.

[ but he presses another light kiss to the corner of jason's lips. ]

Do you need time alone to recuperate or shall I stick around?

Nah, all I did was sit alone in a cell. The jailbreak was the most excitement I got out of there.

( another kiss, before jason releases kyle and drops his hand back down. )

Don't need time to recoup from spending time by myself.

I'll take that as a sign.

[ he settles himself behind jason to continue tending to his shoulders. ]

Dickie Jr is moving in.

( probably nice to give kyle a heads up. it wasn't exactly in his plans, and jason's really not sure how this--happened.

( they haven't almost killed each other, yet. and the tower's fairly secure. he can always kick kyle out later. )

( jason reaches for kyle's arm, to hold it hostage. arms used to elbow him clearly don't deserve to remain in kyle's custody, so this is his now. )

He should. Get a house somewhere nice to fit his flock of Robins. He can sit on the porch in a creaky rocking chair yelling at all the other kids to get off his lawn.

Kyle, ( softly, as jason releases kyle's arm from arm prison. he can have it back. ) I trust you not to fuck it up if I let you move in.

[ kyle glances at him. ]

( an answer that is very purposefully not quite an answer. )

[ kyle's expression tightens for a moment before he sighs. ]

Nah. I'm fine where I am for now and I can travel easily.

( the expression shift is--off, but jason lets it be. closes his eyes and shifts so he's facing forward again, back of his head against kyle's leg. )

Gives me somewhere I can throw you out the window if I wanna, too.

[ kyle's grin twitches as he runs his fingers through jason's hair. ]
