[ it's always a little bittersweet. as all things are. loki tugs him along as they make their way into the town. it is a bustling sight. large ships flying overhead, boats on the bay. there are a small gaggle of children by the meadow doing combat instruction. ]

[Sephiroth's gaze lifts to watch the ships overhead.]

You have airships.

[ loki smiles. ]

We do. They were common on Asgard too.

Might we ride in one?

[dothelokimotion]

I don't see why not. We can rent one.

I might like that.

[dothelokimotion]

Then we shall do that.

[He smiles.]

But I want to see what you want to show me, first.

That can wait. Why don't we go for a ride first?

[ he glances around and ah, there it is. there's a man with a few ships floating in the air. loki heads over to exchange some money to gain access to a ship. he gestures for sephiroth to come near as the staff pulls up a ladder for them to climb on board. ]

[Sephiroth doesn't protest, but he will ask as they climb aboard:]

You aren't nervous, are you?

[dothelokimotion]

[ he blinks. ]

Nervous?

[unkindled_madness]

About your plans?

Or... being back here?

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki pauses. ]

No. I have no place here and that . . . is fine. As for my plans, I didn't want to make it too grand. It wouldn't suit you. I just wanted you to come here with me. To see this.

[unkindled_madness]

...all right.

[He walks a little ways along the ship's rail, looking down.]

Tell me about this place, then.

New Asgard?

[ they rise up into the sky, slow and steady. ]

We — Thor picked a spot near Norway, a land we used to visit when we were young. Some things are greatly changed to suit this culture.

Greatly changed?

[dothelokimotion]

For one, we never had so much tourists and commercial outlets. But we — they are no longer the sovereigns of the universe. They came to this planet with nothing.

I'm just glad they seem happy.

They do seem to be thriving.

This planet welcomed them?

Well, Thor is a prominent hero in this world.

Our only concern then was my arrival but . . . since I never arrived, it wasn't an issue.

I'm sure it would have been all right.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki pauses, hearing the echo of thor's words. he brushes it off with a faint smile. ]

Would you like to drive the ship?

[unkindled_madness]

Do you mean to teach me?

[dothelokimotion]

It's not hard. And you can't be worse than Thor.

[ loki guides him to the steering post at the back of the boat. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[Sephiroth goes along.]

That does seem unlikely, but I've never driven anything.

Then this is the perfect opportunity to learn. Nothing like potentially crashing a flying ship to give you motivation.

[ loki gestures to the handle. ]

It's intuitive. Pressing forward adds speed and you can direct in in any way you like.
